2026 Alabama Super Section Wrestling Tournaments Schedule & Brackets
To win a wrestling state championship in Alabama, you first must succeed at the AHSAA Super Section Tournaments. The 2026 events will be held Feb. 5-7.

The journey toward individual state wrestling titles in Alabama continues during the first week in February with a pair of Alabama High School Athletic Association Super Section Tournaments.
The AHSAA North Super Section Tournament will be held Feb. 5-7 at Bill Harris Arena at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama. If the venue sounds familiar, its because that also was the site for the final rounds of the 2026 Alabama Wrestling State Dual Championships.
The AHSAA South Super Section Tournament will take place Feb. 5-7 at Garrett Coliseum in Montgomery, Alabama.
The goal here, of course, is to succeed within your weight class and earn a spot in the 2026 AHSAA State Wrestling Championships, set for Feb. 12-14.
Though the sectional events won’t be broadcast live on FloWrestling or the FloSports app, each match will appear in the FloWrestling archives minutes after concluding.

As we saw for the dual championships, athletes/teams on the boys side again will compete in four classifications – 1A-4A, 5A, 6A and 7A. The girls will be competing in two classifications – 6A/7A and 1A/5A.
From the boys division in the super section tournaments, Classes 1A-4A, 6A and 7A will send six participants per weight class to the state event, while the 5A boys and both girls divisions, will see four athletes per weight class qualify from each super section tournament.
During the previous two seasons (2022-2023 and 2023-2024), girls wrestling was considered an emerging sport, but the first official titles were awarded last year. Thompson won the 6A/7A crown, and Weaver was the 1A/5A champion.
