2026 NYSPHSAA Wrestling Dual Meet Championships Schedule & Brackets
The NYSPHSAA Wrestling Dual Meet Championships heads back to Syracuse, New York, on Jan. 31, and it will be broadcast live on FloWrestling!

The eighth edition of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Wrestling Dual Meet Championships will see two dozen of the Empire State’s top high school wrestling teams head north for an intense day of competition Jan. 31.
The event returns to the SRC Arena on the campus of Onondaga Community College in Syracuse, New York, where it has been held each year since the inaugural edition in 2018.
All of the action from the 2026 NYSPHSAA Wrestling Dual Meet Championships will be streamed live on FloWrestling and the FloSports app.

The format at the NYSPHSAA Wrestling Dual Meet Championships traditionally features 24 teams competing in two divisions, with those programs coming from the 11 NYSPHSAA sections.
Nine of the sections send teams to compete in Division 1, and 10 sections qualify teams for Division 2. Then, there are three at-large entries for Division 1 and one for Division 2.
Every team is tested in three matches of pool play, with the top four teams in each division advancing to the semifinals.
Here are the 14 weight classes for NYSPHSAA competition: 103, 110, 118, 126, 132, 138, 144, 150, 157, 165, 175, 190, 215, 285
In 2025, it was Minisink Valley and John Glenn winning the Division 1 and Division 2 titles, respectively, at the NYSPHSAA Wrestling Dual Meet Championships. It was the third win for Minisink Valley (2020, 2022) and the first for John Glenn. Both winning teams finished second in 2024.

When Are The 2026 NYSPHSAA Wrestling Individual Championships?
The best high school wrestlers in New York State will be back in action Feb. 27-28 for the 2026 NYSPHSAA Boys Wrestling Individual Championships.
The event again will take place at MVP Arena in Albany, New York. The venue is considered one of the premier sports and entertainment facilities in Upstate New York, and there’s seating space for 6,000-17,500 guests, depending on the configuration for each show or event.
The first-round, second-round, quarterfinal and consolation wrestleback matches will take place Feb. 27, and everything else will happen throughout the day Feb. 28.

The day before the boys get down to business in Albany, the venue will begin to the best young female wrestlers in the state.
The girls titles in 13 weight classes will be decided at MVP Arena on Feb. 26.
The first NYSPHSAA Girls Wrestling State Championships was held in 2025.
Did You Know: High School Wrestling In New York State Began In 1963
While the NYSPHSAA Wrestling Dual Meet Championships is only a few years old, being held for the first time in 2018, the NYSPHSAA Boys Wrestling Individual Championships has been taking place since 1963.
The format of the latter event has changed over the years, and since 2004, it has awarded 26 state championships – 13 in each division.
Almost all of the most dominant high school wrestlers in the state’s history have come since the turn of the century. Four wrestlers have won five state championships. Another 11 have won four times. The oldest wrestler on the lists wrestled from 1997-2000.
Of the seven times the dual meet has been held (the 2021 edition was canceled due to COVID-19), Minisink Valley leads with three Division 1 titles (2020, 2022, 2025), and Tioga tops the Division 2 list with three of its own (2022, 2023, 2024).
