285: #1 Yonger Bastida, Iowa State dec. #6 Ben Kueter, Iowa, 11-4

First period: No scoring halfway through the period. Stalling on Kueter with a minute left. Bastida hits a single and scores for a three-point takedown with 40 seconds left. Kueter escapes, making it 3-1. 

Second period: Kueter chooses down, gets to his feet, and escapes in 25 seconds, making the score 3-2 in favor of Bastida. Bastida scores on a slick takedown for a 6-2 lead with 40 seconds left. Kueter escapes at the end of the period, making it 6-3 with 1:21 of riding time for Bastida.

Third period: Bastida chooses neutral. Stall warning on Kueter, adding a point to Bastida as he takes a shot. Bastida leads, 7-3, with 44 seconds left. Straight shot by Bastida scores a takedown for a 10-3 lead. Kueter escapes with a second left, giving Bastida an 11-4 win with riding time.

Long scramble with both gaining the upper hand at times until Peterson scores the takedown with 30 seconds left. Poulin escapes, making it 4-2, but Peterson holds on for the win.

133: #6 Evan Frost, Iowa State dec. #3 Drake Ayala, Iowa, 11-5

First period: No scoring halfway through the period. No scoring. 

Second period: Frost chooses down and escapes in six seconds. Ayala gets resistance, but eventually scores a three-point takedown for a 3-1 lead with 1:20 left. Frost escapes with 56 seconds left, cutting Ayala's lead to 3-2. Frost hits a shot, but Ayala scrambles out and nearly scores at the buzzer. Ayala has 43 seconds of riding time.

Third period: Ayala chooses neutral and Frost immediately hits a shot, scoring with 1:32 left for a 5-3 lead. Ayala escapes, making it 5-4 in favor of Frost. Another lengthy scramble after an Ayala shot yields a takedown for Frost after a neutral danger call. Frost leads 8-4 with 29 seconds left. Ayala escapes, making it 8-5. Frost hits a shot and scores as time expires for an 11-5 win. 

Iowa 3, Iowa State 6

141: #7 Anthony Echemendia, Iowa State maj. dec. #10 Nasir Bailey, Iowa, 15-2

First period: No scoring halfway through the period. Stall warning on Bailey with a minute left. Echemendia scores on the edge with 11 seconds left for a 3-0 lead after the first.

Second period: Echemendia chooses neutral and scores immediately for a 6-0 lead. Bailey escapes with 1:13 left. Echemendia adds another point after a stall warning against Bailey, giving Echemendia a 7-1 lead. 

Third period: Bailey chooses top and survives a test, but Echemendia eventually escapes for an 11-1 lead following a takedown. Escape by Bailey with 52 seconds left. Echemendia sprawls on a Bailey shot and scores another for a 14-2 lead. Echemendia wins 15-2, with riding time.

149: #14 Ryder Block, Iowa dec. #4 Paniro Johnson, Iowa State, 2-1 TB

First period: No scoring halfway through the period. No scoring. 

Second period: Block chooses down and escapes in four seconds for a 1-0 lead. A few half shots, but no scoring as time expires. Block leads, 1-0.

Third period: Johnson chooses down and escapes in three seconds, tying the score 1-1. 

Sudden victory: Johnson had a tight body lock, but Block did a tremendous job of countering.

TB1: Block escapes in three seconds for a 2-1 lead. Johnson chooses neutral. Johnson pushes hard for a takedown, but Block wins, 2-1.

Iowa 6, Iowa State 10

157: #6 Vinny Zerban, Iowa State maj. dec. #8 Jordan Williams, Iowa, 11-3

First period: Williams hits a shot off the whistle, followed by a weird scramble that yields no points when Zerban squirms out. Swing single by Williams is stalemated with 1:43 left. Zerban hits a head to the inside shot, and Williams counters out. No score yet with 1:10 left. The shots slowed in the final minute. No score. 

Second period: Zerban chooses down and escapes in 21 seconds. Low shot by Zerban as Williams does the splits. Zerban finally gets the takedown for a 4-0 lead with one minute left. Zerban is working hard on top, but Williams stands up and scores a reversal, cutting the lead in half.

Third period: Williams chooses down. Zerban tosses Williams to his back for three near-fall points and a 7-2 lead. Williams escapes with 42 seconds left, giving Zerban a 7-3 lead. Zerban scores at the edge on his tippy toes for a 10-3 lead with 15 seconds left. Zerban rides out for the 11-3 win with riding time. 

Iowa 6, Iowa State 14

165: #3 Michael Caliendo, Iowa tech. fall #26 Connor Euton, Iowa State, 20-5

First period: Caliendo chases down a single for a 3-0 lead with 2:23 left. Euton escapes. Stall warning on Euton as Caliendo has a leg and transitions to a single and a takedown for a 6-2 lead after an escape. Caliendo has 24 seconds of riding time. 

Second period: Euton chooses down and escapes in 10 seconds, giving Caliendo a 6-3 lead. Caliendo powers through with a double for a 9-3 lead at the break. 

Third period: Caliendo chooses down and escapes in seven seconds for a 10-3 lead, but scores another takedown for a 13-4 lead after an Euton escape. Stalling on Euton followed by a takedown and escape makes it 17-5. Caliendo finishes it with a takedown and a 20-5 tech.

First period: The crowd gets a thrill when Gaitan nearly tosses Kennedy, but no score from the exchange. Kennedy relentless on the head and scores three out of bounds for a 3-0 lead with 1:56 left. Gaitan escapes. Single by Kennedy with a minute left. Gaitan scrambles out and scores a takedown, but Kennedy escapes. Tied 4-4 with 40 seconds left. No scoring the remainder of the period. Still 4-4. 

Second period: Gaitan chooses down and escapes in eight seconds for a 5-4 lead. Kennedy hits a single, and Gaitan sprawls and scores for an 8-4 lead. Stalling on Kennedy with 57 seconds left. Kennedy escapes, making it 8-5. 

Third period: Kennedy chooses down and escapes in five seconds, making the score 8-6 in favor of Gaitan. Stalling on Gaitin, cutting the lead to 8-7 with a minute left. Gaitan has a body lock that's called a stalemate. Gaitan called for stalling, making it 8-8. 

Sudden victory: Wild scramble called potentially dangerous. No scoring the remainder of sudden victory. 

Tiebreakers: Gaitan starts down and escapes in 12 seconds. Iowa State throws a challenge brick on a locked hands call. The challenge wasn't thrown in time, and Iowa State loses the challenge. Gaitan rides out the period and wins 9-8.

Third period: Ferrari chooses down and escapes in 11 seconds, making it 1-1. Stalling on Dean, giving Ferrari a 2-1 lead. Another shot by Ferrari, but potentially dangerous is called with 14 seconds left. Dean tries a desperation shot by attempting to jump over Ferrari, but doesn't score.

First period: No scoring halfway through the period. Elam hits a single and switches off for a score and a 3-0 lead with a minute left. Endene explodes to his feet after a restart, but Elam keeps him down. Elam rides out the period and has 1:08 of riding time.

Second period: Elam chooses down and escapes in 24 seconds, taking riding time to 43. Elam leads 4-0 at the end of the period. 

Third period: Endene chooses neutral and fires off a shot that's countered by Elam. Stalling on Elam with 47 seconds left, but Elam hits a shot near the edge and scores another takedown for a 7-0 lead. Elam hit with stalling, one point to Endene with seven seconds left. An escape by Endene and a riding time point for Elam makes it 8-2.
