'For Her Duals' To Begin February 8, 2026
Iowa women to host annual NCAA vs NAIA dual tournament on February 8, 2025.

September 3, 2025 – The Iowa City Area Sports Commission is pleased to announce the creation of a new collegiate women’s wrestling dual tournament called the “For Her Duals”. The new annual tournament will begin on February 8, 2026, at Xtream Arena in Coralville, Iowa, and attract several of the nation’s top women’s wrestling programs from both the NCAA and NAIA conferences.
“When we had to move the dates of our annual Soldier Salute tournament, it presented a scheduling challenge for our women’s programs. The new dates of that event are only a week before national duals,” said Luke Eustice, director of the Iowa City Area Sports Commission. “After consulting with the various coaches, we got to work on this new dual team conference tournament.”
The For Her Duals will include both an NCAA and NAIA bracket, with pool winners facing off against each other for the final championship standings.
The NCAA bracket will be headlined by the University of Iowa and McKendree University, who both expect to start the season near the top of the inaugural NCAA rankings. The Ursinus College Grizzly Bears and William Jewell Cardinals will make up the rest of the NCAA bracket. The NAIA bracket will be headlined by perennial powers Life University and William Penn. Both programs also expect their season to begin near the top of the NAIA rankings. They will be joined by Indiana Tech and the Ottawa University Braves.
“We are very excited to welcome back all 7 of these schools to WrestleTown, USA,” said Laney Fitzpatrick, sports development manager for the Iowa City Area Sports Commission. “And just as excited to begin this new cross-conference dual wrestling championship tradition. We aim to grow each year and not just stop at NAIA and NCAA. We hope to expand this tournament to someday include community college and club team brackets. To showcase not only the best of what’s already here, but great women’s wrestling programs on the horizon.”
The inaugural For Her Duals will take place Sunday, February 8. The day after the annual IHSSA Boys State Dual Championships and just a few days after the annual IGHSAU State Wrestling Tournament.
