New professional wrestling promotion, Real American Freestyle, has its first event on Saturday, August 30, 2025, in the Wolstein Center in Cleveland, Ohio.

The late WWE legend Hulk Hogan was one of the founders of the promotion, however, the first card promises to be 100% Olympic-style wrestling and will feature a nearly identical ruleset as published by UWW, the sport's international governing body. RAF has announced, however, that there will be a tribute to Hogan at the event.

The matches will be streamed on Fox Nation. The bout order is below.

155: Yianni Diakomihalis vs Bajrang Punia

155: Lance Palmer vs Austin Gomez

175: Jason Nolf vs Evan Wick

120: Sarah Hildebrandt vs Zeltzin Hernandez

145: Real Woods vs Darrion Caldwell

190: Kyle Dake vs Dean Hamiti

Results

135: Nathan Tomasello vs Matt Ramos

Four-time NCAA all-American and national champion for the Ohio State Buckeyes is taking on fellow Big Ten alum Matt Ramos, an NCAA finalist and two-time AA for the Purdue Boilermakers

Final: Nathan Tomasello over Matt Ramos, 4-3

155: Yianni Diakomihalis vs Bajrang Punia

Four-time NCAA champ and world silver medalist Yianni Diakomihalis will see Bajrang Punia, a multiple-time world medalist and Olympic bronze medalist for India, who returns to competition for the first time since receiving a ban from UWW and Olympic events for avoiding a doping test in 2023. Yianni is 2-0 against Bajrang in freestyle bouts.

Final: Yianni Diakomihalis oveer Bajrang Punia, 5-1

155: Lance Palmer vs Austin Gomez

Four-time NCAA All-American and local Cleveland native Lance Palmer returns to the mat after a long and successful MMA career. His opponent is a two-time NCAA All-American and Paris Olympian who represents Mexico, Austin Gomez. At 38, Palmer is the oldest participant at RAF 1.

Final: Austin Gomez over Lance Palmer, 11-0

175: Jason Nolf vs Evan Wick

Newly minted wrestling club owner and Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner Jason Nolf is back on the mat. The four-time NCAA finalist and three-time champ will wrestle Evan Wick, who recently won the 2025 US Open, which qualified him for Final X at 79kg. Wick is also a three-time NCAA AA.

Final: Evan Wick over Jason Nolf, 10-8

120: Sarah Hildebrandt vs Zeltzin Hernandez

Four-time world medalist and two-time Olympic medalist Sarah Hildebrant may have announced her retirement following her gold-medal performance in Paris, but it apparently didn't take, as she's already back on the mat against 2024 U23 world silver medalist for Team Mexico, Zeltzin Hernandez.

Final: Sarah Hildebrandt over Zeltzin Hernandez: 11-0

145: Real Woods vs Darrion Caldwell

It'll be youth vs experience as 2025 World Team member and three-time All-American Real Woods will take on NCAA champ and MMA veteran Darrion Caldwell. Woods' final year of eligibility was in 2024, while Caldwell ran out of NCAA seasons in 2011.

Final: Real Woods over Darrion Caldwell, pinfall

190: Kyle Dake vs Dean Hamiti

No one is coming out of retirement for this bout. Kyle Dake, who this summer missed out on making a world or Olympic team for the first time since 2018, will face off against DJ Hamiti, who spent his final season of NCAA eligibility at Oklahoma State, where he promptly had his best season ever by dint of his 2025 NCAA title.

Final: Kyle Dake over Dean Hamiti, 11-0

150: Kennedy Blades Holly Holm vs Alejandra Rivera

Kennedy Blades is a rising star fresh off an Olympic silver medal from Paris. She'll be put to the test against Alejandra Rivera, who has Pan-Am bronze medals at the U17 and U20 levels. This will be one of the co-main events. Actually, it's Saturday morning and I don't see this bout listed on the RAF website, so I'm not sure it's happening anymore. I guess we'll find out soon enough!

Curveball! It's Holly Holm vs Rivera! I can't believe what I'm watching! I really can't believe I'm sitting here watching this on a TV!

Final: Alejandra Rivera over  Holly Holm, 9-7

205: Bo Nickal vs Jacob Cardenas

And for the main event (going off the RAF website anyway. In an article from USA Wrestling, it was said that Hendrickson would be the main and this would be the co-main), Bo Nickal is putting his MMA training on a brief pause to return to the mat. The four-time NCAA finalist and three-time champ will be taking on Jacob Cardenas, a three-time NCAA All-American and three-time U23 world medalist. Nickal also has a U23 world medal, having won gold in 2023.

And it turns out this was the penultimate match!

Final: Bo Nickal over Jacon Cardenas, 6-4

Unlimited: Wyatt Hendrickson vs Mostafa Elders

The co-main actual event will feature recently crowned NCAA champ and Hodge Trophy winner Wyatt Hendrickson wrestling Egypt's Mostafa Elders in a match without a weight class limit. Both wrestlers can weigh whatever they want; the maximum allowed weight is literally unlimited.

Final: Wyatt Hendrickson over Mostafa Elders, 14-1
