The 2025 NCAA D1 College Wrestling Redshirt Report

All the D1 college wrestlers who were on redshirt (or didn't wrestle in the postseason for some reason) last season who could make an impact in 2025-26.

Aug 19, 2025 by Andrew Spey
The 2025 NCAA D1 College Wrestling Redshirt Report

The 2025-26 NCAA D1 college wrestling season is rapidly approaching. To prepare for another thrilling school year of the oldest and greatest sport, we've compiled a list of all the wrestlers who were redshirting last season and are poised to make an impact this upcoming season.

We've included regular redshirts, medical redshirts, grayshirts (used mostly by Ivy League schools where a wrestler is not enrolled in school), and other instances when applicable where an impact wrestler is not in the starting lineup for whatever reason.

It's also worth noting that true freshmen are able to make up to five varsity starts every year and keep their redshirt status, so you may have seen some of the redshirt freshmen we made note of last season at a tournament or dual meet.

125 Pounds

#8 Jore Volk, JR, Minnesota

Volk won gold at the 2022 U20 World Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria, before matriculating at the University of Wyoming for two seasons. The Minnesota native qualified for the 2023 NCAAs before having his breakout year in 2024 when he placed seventh. Volk suffered a season-ending injury four duals into the 2024-25 season, afterwards transferring back home to the University of Minnesota, where, after a medical redshirt, he's ready to take on the always volatile 125-pound weight class at the #8 preseason-ranked wrestler in the division.

Watch highlights from Volk's gold medal performance at 2022 U20 Worlds:

#12 Nico Provo, JR, Stanford - redshirt - R32, R16

Connecticut native Nico Provo improved on his true freshman NCAA tournament in 2023 where he went 0-2 and bbq by reaching the round of 16 in 2024. Provo took the 2024-25 season off while redshirting and preparing for a podium run in 2026. Nico also has a Pan-Am U20 gold medal to his name from 2019.

Beric Jordan, FR, Oklahoma

Jordan, a graduate of Ohio high school St Paris Graham (but unrelated to the St Paris Jordan family that you may know from such hits as Bo, Micah, Hunter & Rocky Jordan, among others) is one of the most highly touted recruits Roger Kish has landed since assuming the reins of the Sooner wrestling program. Jordan was #21 on the Class of 2024 Big Board and recently capped off an impressive 12-3 season while redshirting.

More notable redshirts

  • Mack Mauger, FR, Missouri - #68 on the Class of 2024 Big Board
  • Ayden Smith, FR, Rutgers - #71 on the Class of 2024 Big Board
  • JJ Peace, FR, American - #94 on the Class of 2024 Big Board
  • Kael Lauridsen, FR, Nebraska
  • Jeremiah Reno, SR, Little Rock
  • Tucker Bowen, FR, Wyoming
  • Abram Cline, FR, Maryland
  • Ezekiel Witt, FR, North Dakota State
  • Bryson Valdez, FR, Northern Colorado
  • Jimmy Garcia, FR, Franklin & Marshall
  • Teague Strobel, FR, Hofstra
  • Riley Rowan, FR, Duke
  • Tyler Klinsky, SR, Rider

133 Pounds

#2 Ryan Crookham, SO, Lehigh

A local to the Lehigh Valley, Ryan Crookham arrived on campus as one of the bluest of blue-chip recruits in recent Lehigh wrestling memory. Crookham backed up the hype with a 24-1 and redshirt freshman campaign in 2024 that included two wins over Vito Arujau and culminated in a third-place finish at NCAAs in Kansas City. Ryan sported a 5-0 record to start the 2024-25 season before injuries forced him to miss the remainder of the season, though he was trying to return to the mat right up until the postseason began. Only returning 2025 NCAA champ Lucas Byrd is ranked ahead of Crookham going into the 2025-26 season, as Crookham represents the best national championship hope Mountain Hawk fans have seen since Darian Cruz.

Watch Crookham defeat Arujau in the 2024 EIWA finals:

null

#11 Dylan Ragusin, SR, Michigan

Ragusin had been knocking on the All-American door for three years before finally claiming a podium step in 2024 after three NCAA tournaments in a row where he won matches but failed to finish in the top eight. The Chicagoland native finally broke through in 2024 with a fifth-place finish at the NCAAs in Kansas City. Injuries forced him to cut his 2024-25 season short, as the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational would be the last event of that season in December of 2024. One medical redshirt later and Ragusin is back for a final run at collegiate glory with the Wolverines.

#13 Ben Davino, FR, Ohio State

Davino is, like Ragusin, also from Chicagoland, although slightly further into the hinterlands, and had a stellar 19-1 true freshman campaign while on redshirt, which included a win over his teammate Nic Bouzakis, who remains a threat to claim the 133-pound starting gig for the Buckeyes. Davino was the #3 recruit on the Class of 2024 Big Board, however, and currently has pole position to win that role.

Aaron Nagao, JR, Penn State

An All-American at the University of Minnesota, Nagao transferred to Penn State after his podium-placing season in 2023. The Californian just missed a top-eight finish in 2024 in his first season with the Nittany Lions and then spent the 2024-25 season on a medical redshirt. He'll have the likes of Masa Ono and Marcus Blaze to contend with in an insanely loaded Penn State wrestling room, but he provides coach Sanderson with a very potent option should he be needed in the lineup.

Kyler Larkin, FR, Arizona State

Larkin deferred eligibility for a year, and technically has the potential to use a redshirt this year as well (I think anyway, who knows with eligibility these days). The Arizona native and offspring of Sun Devil legend Eric Larkin was the #18 ranked high schooler on the Class of 2024 Big Board. Larkin also recently won a 2025 U20 Pan-Am gold medal.

Zach Redding, SR, NC State

While technically not coming off a redshirt season, Redding has not started a postseason since 2023 when he made it to the bloodround for the Iowa State Cyclones. The New York native transferred to the Wolfpack in the offseason for his final bite at the NCAA apple.

More notable redshirts

  • Gable Strickland, SR, Lock Haven
  • JJ McComas, FR, Oklahoma State - #22 on the Class of 2024 Big Board
  • Louie Gill, FR, West Virginia - #43 on the Class of 2024 Big Board
  • Dillon Campbell, FR, Virginia Tech - #49 on the Class of 2024 Big Board
  • Omar Ayoub, FR, Nebraska - #80 on the Class of 2024 Big Board
  • Maximillian Leete, SR, American
  • Tyson Charmoli, FR, Oklahoma
  • Dillon Cooper, FR, Little Rock
  • Jarvis Little, FR, Appalachian State
  • Jake Castagneto, FR, Utah Valley
  • Bryce Luna, FR, Chattanooga
  • Cameron Chinavare, FR, Central Michigan
  • Kade Kluce, FR, Bloomsburg
  • Landon Bainey, FR, Edinboro
  • Dillon Arrick, FR, Binghamton
  • Richard Murillo, FR, Cal Baptist

141 Pounds

#3 Luke Stanich, SO, Lehigh

As of the writing of this illustrious redshirt report, Stanich had very recently advanced to the gold medal match of the 2025 U20 World Championship 65kg bracket. This achievement will come as no surprise to the Mountain Hawk faithful who watched the New Jersey native place fifth at the 2024 NCAAs as a true freshman at 125 pounds. Will Stanich become the first U20 world champ in Lehigh history (I'm making that stat up, I have no time to do the research to fact check that)? We'll find out in less than 24 hours (assuming I publish this and you read it before then)!

Watch Stanich win gold (spoiler alert):

null

#8 Anthony Echemendia, JR, Iowa State

Anthony's path to Ames, Iowa is remarkable. Since Echemendia arrived, with a stop in Columbus, Ohio along the way, the Cuban native has placed fifth at the 2024 NCAA Championships. Injuries forced a medical redshirt but Echemendia is poised for another podium run going into his third season at Iowa State.

#10 Ryan Jack, SR, NC State

Ryan Jack, not to be confused with Amazon Prime's Jack Ryan, qualified for three NCAA tournaments without taking a redshirt, peaking at a seventh-place finish in 2024. Finally taking a redshirt before his fifth season in Raleigh, the Nutmegger will be seeking his second appearance on the Saturday of NCAA Championship weekend.

#17 Frankie Tal-Shahar, SR, Northwestern

Florida native Tal-Shahar may have two years of eligibility remaining, depending on if he gets a medical redshirt approved. Tal-Shahar qualified for the 2022 and 2023 NCAA Championships but is seeking his first All-American honors for the Wildcats.

#19 Aden Valencia, FR, Stanford

Bay Area native Aden Valencia is one of the brightest recruits to make his way to Pal Alto in recent Cardinal memory. Though he only went 3-3 in his redshirt campaign, Valencia ha won the Reno TOC Championship while still in high school and won the international freestyle Herni Deglane tournament in 2024.

Vince Cornella, SR, Cornell

Cornella (an appropriate name for someone attending Cornell if we do say so), may not have taken a redshirt last season, medical or otherwise, but he did miss the entire 2024-25 season, and he is quite good at wrestling, so we're including him in this redshirt report regardless. If back to full strength, he will absolutely be an All-American contender this year.

Tom Crook, JR, Virginia Tech

Tom Crook, of the wrestling Crook brothers from Tampa, Florida, has twice won matches at the NCAA Championships and has two more shots at making the podium. He's got a 36-20 record in his varisty career and will be a threat to reach All-American status for the Hokies this season.

More notable redshirts

  • Joseph Fischer, SR, Clarion
  • Jack Maida, SR, American
  • Alex Braun, FR, Oklahoma
  • Carter Freeman, FR, Northern Iowa
  • Michael Olson, FR, North Dakota State
  • Noah Keen, FR, Campbell
  • Jimmy Nugent, JR, Central Michigan
  • Michael Giugliano, FR, Bloomsburg from Buffalo
  • Ty Edwards, FR, Gardner-Webb
  • Mason Tieffel, FR, Kent State

149 Pounds

#6 Casey Swiderski, JR, Oklahoma State

Dundee High School grad Casey Swiderski reached All-American status as a true sophomore after falling one match short the year before for the Iowa State Cyclones. Injuries kept him off the mat for the 2024-25 season and in the offseason Swiderski transferred to Oklahoma State, where he'll have to defeat Tagen Jamison for the opportunity to represent the Cowboys on the varsity level.

#17 Joey Zargo, SR, Wisconsin

New Jersey native Joey Zargo qualified for three straight NCAA tournaments before taking a redshirt season last year. He's take his 47-36 career record into his final season in Madison with an eye on finally breaking through to the later rounds of the Big Dance.

#20 Jaxon Joy, FR, Cornell

Joy makes his way to Ithaca by way of Wadsworth, Ohio, where he was the #23 recruit on the Class of 2024 Big Board. The gray shirt racked up 30 matches while deferring eligibility and enters his first season at Cornell as a top 20 wrestler.

Carter Young, SR, Oklahoma State

Oklahoma native Carter Young is not coming off any kind of redshirt but he is a two-time national qualifier who has a tremendous track record against senior level opponents in freestyle. He'll have a battle on his hands to punch through to the starting Cowboy lineup with the likes of bloodrounders Casey Swiderski and Tagen Jamison as teammates.

Pierson Manville, FR, Arizona State

The Sun Devils are counting on Manville to help reload the Arizona State wrestling program. The Virginia/Pennsylvania native was the #14 ranked wrestler on the Class of 2024 Big Board.

Luke Simcox, FR, North Carolina

Like Manville, Simcox is a highly touted recruit, coming in at #19 on the Class of 2024 Big Board. He'll be a big part of Head Coach Rob Koll's quest to put the Tar Heels at the top of the NCAA wrestling contenders list, as he did with the Cornell Big Red.

More notable redshirts

  • EJ Parco, FR, Stanford - #46 on the Class of 2024 Big Board.
  • Andrew Binni, FR, Navy - #84 on the Class of 2024 Big Board
  • Caleb Tyus, SR, SIU-Edwardsville
  • Pat Phillips, SR, Franklin & Marshall
  • Kade Brown, FR, Pittsburgh
  • Jagger French, FR, Cal Poly
  • Eugene Harney, FR, Campbell
  • Jordan Barry, FR, LIU
  • Dylan Layton, JR, Rider
  • Cael Raines, FR, Bloomsburg

157 Pounds

#4 Daniel Cardenas, JR, Stanford

Colorado native Daniel Cardenas has been a force for the Cardinal since arriving in Pal Alto in 2023, reaching the bloodround as a true freshman and placed fourth in 2024 in Kansas City. One redshirt and a Soldier Salute title later and Cardenas is ready for a title run at 157 pounds.

Watch Cardenas defeat Meyer Shapiro in the quarters of the 2023 CKLV:

null

#5 Ty Watters, SO, West Virginia

Watters was a revelation for the Tim Flylnn led Mountaineers, placing fifth as a true freshman in 2024. A medical redshirt put him on the shelf for the 2024-25 season, but if back in tip-top shape, you'd be wise to put your money on Watters making a deep run in the 2026 NCAA tournament.

#10 Jackson Arrington, JR, NC State

Western PA native Jackson Arrington has been extremely consistent for the Wolfpack, reaching the round of 12 twice in his first two years in Raleigh. He was also 8-0 last season, while on redshirt. He's moving up from 149, where he bloodrounded twice, to 157, where he is again expected to threaten the podium.

#14 Cael Swensen, JR, South Dakota State

Like Arrington, Swensen is a ranked two-time NCAA qualifier looking for his first All-American honors. medical redshirt. Unlike Arrington, Swensen is from Minnesota and not Pennsylvania. Cael has a 53-29 record in his variety matches and is probably named after Cael Sanderson but I have not fact-checked that yet.

#20 Charlie Millard, FR, Minnesota

Millard is a Wisconsin native and a graduate of the Askren Wrestling Academy. He went 13-2 in his true freshman season while on redshirt and earned himself a top 20 ranking going into his first varsity season with the Gophers.

Joseph Sealey, FR, Penn State

Sealey has a tall task in usurping teammate Tyler Kasak from his 157-pound throne, seeing as Kasak has placed third at the last two NCAA Championships; however, the #6 recruit on the Class of 2024 Big Board should absolutely not be discounted in that regard.

Kaleb Larkin, SO, Arizona State

Like his brother Kyler, Kaleb did not compete in the last season. Kaleb also didn't wrestle in the year before that, making him either a freshman or a sophomore, depending on whether or not he gets a medical redshirt. Kaleb was the #50 recruit on the Class of 2022 Big Board

More notable redshirts

  • Cam Catrabone, FR, Michigan - #52 on the Class of 2024 Big Board
  • Jaivon Jones, SR, Little Rock
  • Connor Eck, SR, Lock Haven
  • AJ Rodriguez, SO, Maryland
  • Tyler Vasquez, SO, Princeton
  • CJ Liddie, FR, Chattanooga
  • Pablo Macias, FR, Campbell
  • Seth Larson, FR, Central Michigan
  • Darius Marines, FR, Michigan State
  • Ty Wilson, FR, Northwestern

165 Pounds

#7 Max Brignola, SR, Lehigh

New Jersey native Max Brignola has been slowly working his way up the food chain like a boa constrictor, having recently moved up from 157 after having also moved up from 149. He just capped off an 18-0 redshirt campaign with one year of eligibility left. The inverterate pinner is a top-ten threat to make serious noise in March.

Watch Brignola defeat Nicco Ruiz at the 2024 Journeymen Collegiate Classic:

null

#8 Peyten Kellar, SR, Oklahoma

Peyten Keller will forever be a legendary Bobcat by dint of his eighth-place finish in 2024 at the NCAA Championshops in Kansas City, Missouri. The two-time NCAA qualifier will finish his collegiate career in Norman with the Sooners,

#24 Bryce Hepner, JR, North Carolina

Hepner spent five seasons at Ohio State before transferring to the Tar Heels. He racked up a  34-15  record before making his run with UNC.

Louis Cerchio, FR, Cornell

Cerchio is sandwiched between All-Americans Meyer Shapiro and Simon Ruiz. He's also #37 on the Class of 2024 Big Board after one year at the Soartan Combat RTC.

More notable redshirts

  • Andrew Barbosa, FR, Rutgers - #61 on the Class of 2024 Big Board
  • Shawn Taylor, FR, West Virginia - #79 on the Class of 2024 Big Board
  • Sean Seefeldt, JR, Pennsylvania
  • Holden Garcia, SO, Princeton
  • Alex Emmer, SR, Utah Valley
  • Mason Reiniche - SR, Chattanooga
  • Daishun Power, FR, Northern Colorado
  • Anthony Ferrari, FR, Campbell
  • Jake Slotnick, SO, Hofstra
  • Tucker Cell, FR, Gardner-Webb
  • Austin Craft, FR, American
  • Connor Cumbee, FR, Bellarmine
  • Gunnar Myers, FR, Northwestern
  • DJ Shannon, SR, Michigan State
  • Dom Frontino, JR, Brown
  • Evan Manzo, FR, CSU-Bakersfield

174 Pounds

#9 Alex Facundo, JR, Oklahoma State

Michigan native Alex Facundo reached the round of 16 as a true freshman in 2023 but he lost a heartbreaker to teammate Tyler Kasak at the 2024 Black Knight Invitational in 2024, as such, he hasn't started in the postseason since 2023. The two-time U17 bronze medalist is still a force, and a transfer to Oklahoma State may just be what the doctor ordered.

Watch Facundo win bronze at the 2019 U17 World Championships:

null

Matthew Olguin, SR, Oregon State

Fresno, California native Matthew Olguin has qualified for two NCAA tournaments in 2022 and 2023. He commands a 54-33 record, mostly at 165, but is expected to perform to a similar standard at 174 for the Beavers in 2026.

Chris Moore, SO, Illinois

Chris Moore stayed home for college and qualified for the NCAA tournament as a true freshman. An injury forced him to take a medical redshirt in 2024-25, but he'll be a big part of the 2025-26 Illini team that is ready to make waves in March.

Dominic Solis, SR, Maryland

Terrapin captain Dom Solis took the 2025 season off to take his first readshirt, but the 2022 NCAA qualifier is ready to lead the Terps to a new level in 2025-26. He's projected to start at 174 after wrestling 197 last season.

LJ Araujo, FR, Nebraska

Brazilian world team member LJ Araujo is back in Lincoln after winning a silver medal at the 2025 U20 Pan-Am Championships. He was also #26 on the Class of 2024 Big Board.

Max Magayna, FR, North Dakota State

Waterloo, Iowa native Max Magayna won the Soldier Salute, the Bison Open, and the Southeast Open as a true freshman. He'll be ready to man 174 for the Thundering Herd in 2025-26.

More notable redshirts

  • Hudson Rogers, FR, Utah Valley
  • Landon Jones, FR, Chattanooga
  • David Alonso, FR, Cal Baptist
  • Braden Brown, FR, LIU
  • Braidon Woodward, FR, Bloomsburg
  • Eddie Enright, FR, Northwestern

184 Pounds

#2 Angelo Ferrari, FR, Iowa

184 is absolutely crazy with new talent coming off redshirt, as you shall soon see in this award-winning article. Angelo Ferrari is chief among those reasons for that to be the case, as evidenced by his wins over the likes of NCAA runner-up Dustin Plott last season while competing as a true freshman on redshirt. Ferrari earned his #2 preseason ranking and will play a major role in the 2025-26 Hawkeyes this season.

#3 Rocco Welsh, SO, Penn State

One of the biggest newsmakers of the offseason.PA native Welsh, who made the NCAA finals as a true freshman at Ohio State in 2024, took a redshirt the next year and then transferred to arch-rival Penn State. Welsh has fellow underclassmen Ferrari and McEnelly, amongst others, in his past to improve on his collegiate silver medal.

Watch highlights of Welsh's semifinal win at the 2024 NCAAs:

null

#8 Zack Ryder, FR, Oklahoma State

New York native and three-time age-level world medalist Zack Ryder made waves this offseason, transferring from Penn State to Oklahoma State. It's not often these days that elite wrestlers leave Happy Valley, but Ryder, a 2024 Black Knight Invite and 2025 Southern Scuffle champ, will be part of David Taylor's new Cowboys, looking to dethrone Ryder's old team from the top of the NCAA D1 collegiate wrestling mountain.

#11 Aeoden Sinclair, FR, Missouri

2024 U20 world gold medalist Aeoden Sinclair is not lacking in credentials or vowels in his first name. The Wisconsin native followed in his club coach Ben Askren's footsteps by committing to the Missouri Tigers. Sinclair is an All-American contender without a doubt and will likely contend for a redshirt freshman title as well.

#12 Brock Mantanona, FR, Michigan

BrockMan arrived in Ann Arbor from California as the #9 recruit from the Class of 2024. He backed that hype up with a 12-3 as a redshirt, which earned him the #12 national ranking (albeit at 174, we shall see which weight he competes in soon enough)!

#13 Brian Soldano, SR, Oklahoma

High Point, New Jersey graduate Brian Soldano reached the round of 16 at the 2023 NCAA tournament but that would be the high point of his career at Rutgers (pun I don't think intended but who can tell what goes on in my brain). Soldano has since transferred to Oklahoma as part of the new-look Sooners.

#18 James Conway, SR, Franklin & Marshall

The Diplomats have stepped up their commitment to wrestling, the only sport the only major D1 sport they sponsor at the D1 level (the rest of the Dips --outside of rowing-- are in the Division III Centennial Conference) recently. Those dividends are paying off in competitors like James Conway, who will try to become the first F&M AA since Richard Durso in 2014.

Brayden Thomposon, SO, Oklahoma State

Thompson has a formidable opponent on his own team in the recently transferred Zack Ryder, but the Illinois native and practice partner to one David Taylor during his 2024 92kg world championship run will have his say in the wrestle-offs.

More notable redshirts

  • James Rowley, JR, Purdue
  • Jake Dailey, FR, North Carolina - #53 on the Class of 2024 Big Board
  • Aaron Ayzerov, SR, Columbia
  • Connor Scuilla, FR, Buffalo
  • Nathaniel Lapinski, SR, Duke
  •  Cory Thomas, FR, Michigan State
  • Matt Kubas, FR, Northwestern

197 Pounds

#2 Rocky Elam, SR, Iowa State

Missouri native Rocky Elam is already a four-time NCAA All-American. He's placed fifth, fourth, third, and sixth in that order in his four varsity seasons for the Tigers. He's got one more year of eligibility (thanks for nothing Covid-19), and took advantage of it thanks to the medical redshirt he received to slide over to Ames and compete for the Cyclones in his final season.

#6 Justin Rademacher, SO, Oregon State

The recently minted U20 World Champion (who looked awesome in Bulgaria, by the way) wrestled as a true freshman for the Beavers and qualified for the NCAAs. He then took a redshirt and won a U20 bronze medal (which he then followed up a year later with the aforementioned gold). Rademacher is going to be a problem next season at 197.

Watch Rademacher win 2025 U20 gold (spoiler alert):

null

#11 Cody Merrill, FR, Oklahoma State

The #12 recruit on the Class of 2024 Big Board is expected to help David Taylor's young Cowboys score a lot of points next March. Cody Merrill proved his mettle thanks to a win over All-American Isaiah Slazar while redshirting as a freshman.

#24 Gavin Nelson, FR, Minnesota

The number twelve recruit in the Class of 2023 will be counted on to help the Gophers reestablish themselves as powerhouses of the Big Ten. Nelson won the Cougar Clash, the Daktronics Open & the Bison Open last season.

Connor Mirasola, FR, Penn State

Like his twin brother Cole at 285, Connor is expected to battle for a title at his weight class, which in this case is 197. Connor also has to deal with 2025 NCAA runner-up and teammate Josh Barr, but regardless, the 2024 Black Knight Invite runner-up and 2025 Southern Scuffle champ will be a dangerous opponent for whomever he sees on the mat. 1st

Luke Geog, SO, Ohio State

Luke Geog (pronounced like GEE-og-raphy) has to get by teammate Seth Shumate, but if he's in the Buckeye starting lineup, expect him to make plenty of noise as he was a 2024 National Qualifier.

Rune Lawrence, FR, West Virginia

Pennsylvania native Rune Lawaren was #16 on the Class of 2024 Big Board and is ready to send the West Virginia Mountaineers to the next level.

More notable redshirts

  • Max Shulaw, FR, Virginia - #36 on the Class of 2024 Big Board
  • Robert Platt, FR, North Carolina - #57 on the class of 2024 Big Board
  • Martin Cosgrove, JR, Pennsylvania
  • Jack Wehmeyer, JR, Columbia
  • Zayne Lehman, SR, Ohio
  • Sawyer Van Rider, FR, Campbell
  • Coy Raines, FR, Bloomsburg

285 Pounds

#3 Yonger Bastida, SR, Iowa State

Cuban native Bastida placed fifth as a freshman at 197 before reaching the round of 16 round in 2023. Yonger then moved up to heavyweight and reached the bloodround. Basitida then took a redshirt season and is part of a revamped Cyclone lineup looking to do some damage in the 2025-26 season.

#4 Taye Ghadiali, SR, Michigan

Ghadiali is a testament to the Campbell Camels, qualifying for the NCAAs in four consecutive years, earning All-American status in 2024 with an eighth-place finish. Injuries stopped him from competing in 2025 but he's since graduated and moved from Buis Creek to Ann Arbor, Michigan, and will look to get back on the podium with the Wolverines,

#8 Nathan Taylor, JR, Lehigh

Pennsylvania native has been rising under the tutelage of Lehigh coach and NCAA champ Zach Rey, having made it to the tound of 24 and the round of 12 in the last two years he competed in the postseason. An injury forced Taylor to take a medical redshirt, but he is the top ten-ranked heavy and ready to break through in his third varsity year for the Mountain Hawks.

Watch Taylor win a 2024 EIWA title via pinfall:

null

#11 Cole Mirasola, FR, Penn State

Wisconsin native Cole Mirasola won the Black Knight Invite the Southern Scuffle before taking a redshirt seat his freshman season. Now he's ready to be another PSU All-American as evidenced by his medal-winning performance at the 2025 U20 World Championships.

#15 Braxton Amos, JR, Wisconsin

West Virginia native Braxton Amos has a history of winning world medals. He has a double gold and bronze in both freestyle and Greco-Roman at the U20 Worlds in 2021. He also qualified for the NCAA Tournament in 2022 and 2023 and is one of the leaders in a revamped Badger lineup going into the 2025-26 season.

Koy Hopke, FR, Minnesota

Wisconsin native Hopke didn't wrestle in the 2024-25 season, but he's still a blue-chip recruit as evidenced by his #17 on the Class of 2024 Big Board. Heavyweight U is psyched for his redshirt freshman campaign for the Gophers.

Aden Attao, FR., Oregon State

Attao is a 2022 & 2024 U20 World bronze medalist. The Beavers have a serious force at heavy.

Christian Carroll, SO, Wyoming

Caroll will pop a top and win matches, while changing schools and is a good spot in Laramie to show why he was such a highly rated heavyweight coming out of high school.
