The U.S. Marine Corps Junior Nationals harbors some of the most decorated and top-ranked high school wrestlers in the country, and competition has been fierce as the action continues through Saturday, July 19.

One of the more well-known contestants that is making his debut in Fargo, North Dakota, is Bo Bassett, the No. 1 nationally ranked high school boys wrestler in the 144 lb. weight class and No. 4 in pound-for-pound, according to FloSports. He is set to compete in the Junior boys' freestyle events at 144 lbs, beginning on Monday, July 14. 

Bassett, a rising senior in the class of 2026, has caused major uproar in the last month following his decommitment from the University of Iowa. Less than 48 hours after his decision, Bassett had his sights set on a new top three: Penn State, Oklahoma State, and Nebraska.

Bassett's performance at Fargo looks to impress recruiters and prove exactly why his talents are worth having on a prestigious college wrestling team like those listed above.
