Melvin Miller, the number one wrestling recruit in the high school class of 2027 released his top nine list of colleges.
Big recruiting news in the wrestling world as top prospect Melvin Miller released his top nine college list. Miller, who wrapped up his sophomore season at Bishop McCort High School in Johnstown, PA, is the number one ranked wrestler on the Class of 2027 Big Board.
Miller made the following statement on a social media post as well as listing his top nine schools.
I am focused, driven and know exactly what I want & what I am looking for.
Those programs still in the mix to acquire the considerable talents of Miller are as follows:
Miller is teammates at Bishop McCort with Bo Bassett, who recently committed to Iowa, and Jax Forrest, who is committed to Oklahoma State.

Watch Miller win a AA Pennsylvania state championship last March:
Miller is ranked third in the nation at 157-pounds, behind to seniors in PJ Duke and Landon Robideau. Miller finished as runner-up in the U20 World Team Trials challenge tournament, falling to Robideau in the finals (who would then lose to Duke in the best 2-of-3 series.
Besides his 2025 State Championship, Miller also took home the top prize at Fargo in 2024 in the Junior 157lb division. He also claimed a title at the prestigious Powerade tournament in December of 2024.
