Olympic Gold Medalist Amit Elor Out Of Final X
World and Olympic champion Amit Elor has announced her decision to withdraw from Final X due to medical reasons.

2024 Olympic gold medalist and 2023 World champion Amit Elor has announced that she will not compete at Final X this Saturday, June 14 in Newark, New Jersey. Her decision to withdraw from the final stage of the World team qualifying process means that 2018 U23 World bronze medalist Alexandria Glaude will represent Team USA in September's World Championships in Zagreb, Croatia.
Elor announced her decision Tuesday evening in an Instagram post.
"Hi everyone, I’m sad to share that I will not be able to compete in Final X due to health reasons. I recently found out that I was anemic during the World Team Trials, which added up to be too much with my current injuries. In the meantime, I’m committed to safely working on strengthening my wrestling. I’m also very excited to contribute to the wrestling community by being more available for camps and clinics ❤️
Wishing the very best to all the wrestlers competing this weekend! No matter what, I’m sure we’re going to have an incredible team representing us at the world stage 🇺🇸 To my Final X competitor, @glaudealex you got this and I’ll be cheering for you at worlds! 🫶"
Alexandria Glaude earned her spot in Final X this April with a dramatic victory over Skylar Grote in the US Open finals. Elor also narrowly defeated Grote in the finals of the World Team Trials Challenge Tournament in May.
Elor would have been one of Team USA's strongest favorites to bring home a medal from Zagreb, having become the youngest wrestler in US history to win Olympic Gold in 2024. Now the task of securing a medal goes to Glaude who has already secured U23 World bronze in her career.
