Jordyn And Jayden Raney Commit To Oklahoma State's Massive Recruiting Class
Jordyn and Jayden Raney, the #5 and #6 recruits in the class of 2026 just committed to Oklahoma State. Here's what it means.

On Thursday's episode of FloWrestling Radio Live, Kentucky high school wrestling stars called in to announce that they'd be joining David Taylor and the Oklahoma State Cowboys following their senior season next year. Their commitment has massive impacts for Oklahoma State program and the future NCAA wrestling landscape. Here are some of the big takeaways.
The Raney brothers' are now David Taylor's fifth and sixth top-100 recruits in the class of 2026. Four of the recruits in their class are ranked in the top six. So far, the Cowboys' haul includes #2 Jax Forrest (133/141), #4 Dreshaun Ross (285), #5 Jordyn Raney (149), #6 Jayden Raney (133), #36 Kellen Wolbert (141/149), and #100 Rocklin Zinkin (125). This class was already ranked #1 for 2026, and it comes on the heels of a #2 ranked class in 2025.
The Cowboys' 2025 class included 8 big boarders and three who are ranked in the top ten. That group is comprised of #3 LaDarion Lockett (165), #5 Landon Robideau (157), #7 Sergio Vega (141/149), #28 Kody Routledge (157/165), #30 Ronnie Ramirez (125/133), #54 Austin Johnson (197/285), #58 Ishmael Guerrero (157), and #92 Beau Hickman (149/157).
A quick scan of the future roster at the Raneys' weights of 133 through 149 reveals how deep the Cowboys will be in that weight range. Jax Forrest, Sergio Vega, Kellen Wolbert, and both Raneys are all projected in those three weights. That means five elite prospects will likely be battling for three starting spots. If the coaching staff can balance that many personalities, this level of depth will be a major asset for Oklahoma State.
The addition of the Raney brothers will also bolster the RTC at Oklahoma State. Both Jordyn and Jayden are U17 Greco World champs, and Jayden made his first Senior Greco-Roman World team this year. Between the Raneys, Forrest, Ross, and Lockett, the Cowboy RTC will be adding four age-level World team members to their already loaded room in the next two recruiting classes.
