Figueroa spent the first four years of his college career wrestling at Arizona State University at 125 pounds. After redshirting in 2022, he spent the 2023 season behind NCAA runner-up Brandon Courtney. Then, in his sophomore season in 2024, Figueroa won an NCAA title by defeating Iowa's Drake Ayala in the finals (7-2). This season, Figueroa earned the #5 seed at the NCAA Tournament but failed to place after going 1-2.

Where Does Figueroa Fit At Oklahoma State?
The Cowboys had a phenomenal first year under new head coach David Taylor finishing in third place at the 2025 NCAA Tournament. Oklahoma State has been busy in the transfer portal and have already added Casey Swiderski, Alex Facundo, and Zack Ryder. With returning NCAA runner-up Troy Spratley at 125 pounds, Figueroa will likely bolster the Cowboy's lineup at 133 pounds next season. While it's still early, next year's Oklahoma State team looks poised to challenge for a trophy.
