Zack Ryder took to Instagram on Friday to announce his commitment to wrestle at Oklahoma State next season.

Ryder, the #5 overall recruit in the class of 2024, began his college career at Penn State before entering the transfer portal on April 2. While redshirting this past season for the Nittany Lions, Ryder accumulated an 8-0 record at 184 pounds with notable wins over TJ Stewart, DJ Parker, Shane Cartagena-Walsh, and Brian Soldano.

Ryder is also an accomplished freestyle wrestler and has won three medals at age-level world championships each of the past three years. Ryder most recently won a silver medal at the U20 World Championships in 2024 and is a two-time world bronze medalist at U17 Worlds (2022 & 2023). To make the U20 world team last year, Ryder defeated Iowa's Gabe Arnold in two straight matches (5-4 and 4-2). Ryder will be a welcomed addition in Stillwater and should contend for All-American honors at either 174 pounds or 184 pounds next season.
