The transfer portal has been highly active since the conclusion of the NCAA Championships one week ago. The two most recent NCAA qualifiers to announce their commitments to a new program are Little Rock 133 and 149 pounders Nasir Bailey and Jordan Williams. Bailey finished 4th at 133 lbs in 2024 but finished off the podium this season. Williams finished in the round of 12 this season after a round of 16 finish in 2024.

Williams announced he and Bailey's commitment with a dancing Instagram post from inside the Iowa wrestling room earlier this evening. One of the biggest questions following the commitment of Williams and Bailey is where Nasir Bailey, a 2024 All-American at 133 lbs fits into the lineup with the imminent return of Iowa's 2025 NCAA finalist Drake Ayala.

Both Bailey and Williams were high level recruits coming out of high school. Williams, originally an Oklahoma State commit, was the #12 ranked recruit in the class of 2022, and Bailey was the #17 recruit in the class of 2023. Both Bailey and Williams were PAC-12 champions for Little Rock in loaded weight classes.
