Nittany Lion fans have a lot to celebrate. Just three days after winning the 2025 NCAA Championships, Penn State picked up a huge commitment flip from one of the top 2026 recruits, Jayden James. 

James is currently the #4 overall recruit in the class of 2026. After winning Fargo last summer at 150 lbs, the New Jersey native won Who's Number One, Powerade, and a New Jersey state title.

James originally committed to Virginia Tech in September of 2024. 

This will shoot Penn State, who currently sits at #17, up in the 2026 recruiting class rankings and drop Virginia Tech, who currently sits at #6. You can see the full 2026 recruiting class rankings HERE.
