Marcus Blaze Bags Fourth State Title At OHSAA State Wrestling Tournament

Marcus Blaze is one of the premier high school wrestlers in the United States, boasting a career with accolades that many seasoned wrestlers dream of having.

Among Blaze's achievements are his gold-medal win at the 2023 U17 World Championships, his second-place finishes at the 2024 U.S. World Team Trials and 2024 U20 World Championships, and arguably his most impressive, a third-place finish at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials.

His world-class defense has led him to a high school career with over 190 wins and just two losses, and on March 9, that record would be extended one final time.

The Perrysville senior was able to claim his fourth state title at the 2025 OHSAA Championships, becoming Ohio's 34th wrestler with four OHSAA Championship titles.

The Penn State commit began his journey at the 2025 OHSAA Wrestling State Tournament on Friday, March 7, with a fall against Alex Mickens. Blaze would go on to record back-to-back-to-back tech falls to secure his title.

With his fight for a four-peat over, and a dominant finish to his high school career, here's how Marcus Blaze did at the 2025 OHSAA Ohio High School Wrestling State Championships.
