AA Update After Semifinals

Faith Christian had a stellar semifinal round punching six through to the finals. They're in position to win tomorrow night, but Bishop McCort and their four finalists will still have something to say about that.

Five teams have between 60 and 67 points. Bethlehem Catholic leads, but both Northampton and Thomas Jefferson have two finalists. Tomorrow's team race could have a very interesting ending.

Girls Update After Semifinals

There hasn't been much to separate the top four teams throughout this tournament. Easton, Palisades, Chestnut Ridge, and Quakertown all have two finalists. Easton has one wrestler alive on the back side as well and holds the lead headed into the final day of competition.

Six different programs punched six wrestlers into the semifinals. This team race is still very much up in the air.

AA Update After Quarterfinals & Blood Round

Faith Christian advances all ten of their qualifiers to the semifinals. They somehow haven't lost a match in this tournament. Nearly as surprising is the fact that Bishop McCort actually leads FCA by half a point. The evening session will set the stage for what could be an incredible final day of competition for the nation's top two teams.

Of note, based on our Pennsylvania AA rankings, McCort and Faith Christian are each favored to win six of their semifinals. At 145 lbs, 152 lbs, and 160 lbs, the two teams will meet head to head. In each instance, the McCort Wrestler (Bo Bassett, Devon Magro, and Melvin Miller) is ranked #1 and the Faith Christian wrestler (Mason Wagner, Max Stein, and Chase Hontz) is ranked either #2 or #3.

AAA Update After Round of 16

Bethleham Catholic and Notre Dame Green Pond sit in first and second after day 1 with Connellsville and Nazareth tied for third. All four of those teams have either four or five in the quarterfinals.

Girls Update After Round of 16

The top ten teams are all within striking distance after the first session of girls wrestling at PIAAs. Montgomery and Souderton both advanced four wrestlers to the semifinals which puts them in position to separate themselves in the next session.

The top two teams in the country, Faith Christian Academy and Bishop McCort unsurprisingly sit atop the standings after the first session at PIAAs. Both teams have ten wrestlers alive in the quarterfinals.
