PIAA State Wrestling Championships Highlights 2025

The 2025 PIAA Pennsylvania High School State Wrestling Championships have kicked off, showcasing some of the best wrestling talent in the nation in what promises to be one of the most thrilling and high-stakes events in high school sports.

Beginning on March 6, wrestlers from both the boys and girls divisions will step onto the mats at the Giant Center in Hershey, PA, with more than 40 nationally ranked competitors vying for a shot at victory.

This year’s tournament is stacked with elite talent, including three of the nation’s Top 20 pound-for-pound wrestlers: Jax Forrest (No. 2), Bo Bassett (No. 4) and Melvin Miller (No. 14).

Aaron Seidel, the No. 3-ranked wrestler at 132 pounds, aims to make history by claiming his fourth consecutive PIAA title, though he’ll have to contend with Forrest in the same bracket.

Recently, Seidel made state history himself, becoming the first PIAA wrestler to achieve 200 career wins at the PIAA AA regionals.
