Anthony Knox Cleared To Compete In New Jersey State Qualifier
After an eventful week of news and legal proceedings, 3x New Jersey state champ Anthony Knox is set to compete to qualify in his 4th state tournament.

Three-time New Jersey State champion Anthony Knox, who was disqualified from competing for his fourth state title earlier this week, now has another chance at a fourth state title.
Last Saturday, a brawl reportedly broke out at the New Jersey District 25 tournament at Collingwood High School. The full details of that incident are still unknown, but the most significant result was that Knox was ruled ineligible to compete in the remainder of the New Jersey postseason. After legal proceedings this week, Knox has been cleared to compete.
The news of Knox's eligibility came just in time. According to his father, Anthony Knox Sr., he heard the good news roughly 30 minutes before he had to weigh in. The call lifted a weight off Anthony Jr.'s shoulders.
"When we got the call, he broke down in tears," Anthony Knox Sr. said.
For the Cornell commit, this week was daunting. He had to balance his normal training and competition prep with court hearings and an onslaught of media attention.
Knox's legal victory sets the stage for more competition. To take home his fourth NJSIAA title and become only the fifth wrestler in history to do so, he'll need to qualify for state this weekend, then run a challenging gauntlet in Atlantic City next weekend.
In addition to being a three-time state champ, Knox is the #4-ranked recruit in the class of 2025, a four-time winner at Who's Number One, a Fargo champ, and a three-time Super 32 champ.
