Kyle Snyder Goes 2-0 At PWL-8 In Kazakhstan

Kyle Snyder recorded two impressive wins on Tuesday, February 25 at the PWL-8, in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Snyder first wrestled Russia’s Konstantin Pshenichnikov - a recent bronze medal winner at the 2025 Yarygin. Snyder used a takedown and 5 steps to win a controlling 7-3 decision over Pshenichnikov. 

Then, just over an hour later, Snyder competed in the main event against Kazakhstan’s 92 kg 2023 world champion Rizabek Aitmukhan. In this match, Snyder built a 4-0 lead with 3 step outs and an activity clock point before securing two takedowns late to win a decisive 8-0 decision.

What’s Next For Kyle Snyder?

Kyle Snyder will travel directly from Kazakhstan to Tirana, Albani to compete in the second UWW Ranking Series Event of the year. Snyder will compete on Thursday, February 27 so he’ll only have one, full day of rest in between competitions. Snyder’s bracket in Albania is deep with talent. It includes Mojtaba Goleij (2021 world bronze), Batyrbek Tsakulov (2022 world silver, 2024 world bronze), Magomedgadji Nurov (2019 world bronze), and several other top 97 kg wrestlers in the world. This tournament will be streamed live on FloWrestling with wrestling beginning at 4:30 am (ET) every day.
