Former Ohio State Wrestling standout, and current California Baptist University assistant coach, Nathan Tomasello returns to the mat to face two-time NCAA DII champion Daniel DeShazer at FloWrestling Night in America: Lee vs Ono on Feb. 26. 

Tomasello, who joined CBU's coaching staff in September, was a 2015 NCAA champion at 125 pounds and a four-time All-American and four-time Ohio High School State champion.

DeShazer started his career at Oklahoma in 2012 but transferred to University of Nebraska-Kearney where he won Division II titles in 2013 and 2025. He was a two-time state champion in the state of Kansas.

Nathan Tomasello Was A Member Of The Ohio State Wrestling Team

Tomasello graduated from Ohio State University in 2018. At Ohio State, he won a national championship and was an All-American all four years he wrestled. He won the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational twice and medaled at the NCAA Wrestling Tournament all four years.

Daniel DeShazer Was A Member Of The UNK Wrestling Team 

He wrestled three years at UNK and won a national championship in his final year. He placed fifth at the CKLV in 2014.
