Pan-American champions Xochitl Mota-Pettis and Melanie Jimenez are set to face off on Feb. 26 at FloWrestling Night In America 2025. 

FWNIA is one of the biggest events in wrestling this year, featuring a stacked card headlined by one of the biggest wrestling matches in the world, Spencer Lee vs. Masanosuke Ono. The entire duration of the event will be streamed live on FloWrestling and the FloSports app.

Mota-Pettis and Jimenez are two stellar wrestlers, boasting wins at the Senior and U20 Pan-American Championships respectively. 

The wrestlers will face off in the sixth match of the night in a 62-kg matchup.

Xochitl Mota-Pettis Won The Senior Pan-American Championships In 2023

Mota-Pettis competed in the 2023 Senior Pan-American Wrestling Championships in Buenos Aires, Argentina, as part of the U.S. team.

She took home gold in the 59-kg Women's Freestyle Championship.

Xochitl Mota-Pettis Placed 5th In The 2023 Pan-American Games & U23 World Championships

Mota-Pettis finished in fifth place in both competitions in the 57-kg weight class.

Melanie Jimenez Has Won The U20 Pan-American Championships Three Times In A Row

Jimenez competed in the U20 Pan-American Wrestling Championships for the first time in 2022 when the Championship was held by her country, Mexico. There, Jimenez won gold for Mexico in the 65-kg championship.

Jimenez would similarly take home the gold medal for Mexico in the 2023 U20 Pan-Americans hosted by Chile. She wrestled in the 62-kg championship.

Jimenez also won gold in last year's Pan-Americans in Peru, winning the 62-kg championship.

Melanie Jimenez Placed 3rd In The 2023 & 2024 U20 World Championships

Jimenez battled to third place in both World Championships, claiming bronze in the 62-kg weight class.
