The 2025 IHSAA Iowa High School Wrestling State Championships begin on Feb. 19 in Des Moines, Iowa. Many of Iowa's best wrestlers will take to the mats on Wednesday morning to begin their fight for a state title.

Iowa is the home of the nation's No. 19 pound-for-pound wrestler, Dreshaun Ross, who was one of three wrestlers to claim a state title under 3A Fort Dodge High School at the 2024 IHSAA Championships.

Damarian Ross, Dreshaun's brother, was one of the two other wrestlers to claim a title for Fort Dodge.

The 3A finals saw one other school, Southeast Polk High School, claim three state champions, one of which is now the nation's No. 12 113-lb wrestler, Nico DeSalvo.

Southeast Polk is also home to the nation's No. 12 285-lb wrestler, Cooper Martinson, who placed third in the 2024 championships.

Iowa has a total of six Top 20 national wrestlers throughout a number of weight classes. The six wrestlers, Ross, DeSalvo, Martinson, Hayden Schwab, Christian Castillo and Kyler Knaack, will all be present at this year's championships.
