*The below recap was originally provided as a live update article

125: #9 Luke Lilledahl, Penn State FALL Christian Tanefeu, Michigan

First period: Tanefeu takes a double from space but Lilledahl counters with a single and finishes for a takedown after a short scramble. Tanefeu earns an escape after 15 seconds to make it 3-1. Not much action for the rest of the period and Lilledahl holds his lead heading into the second.

Second period: Tanefeu starts down and earns a quick escape to make it a one-point match. Tanefeu stays on the attack and gets his hands locked on a left side single but it's stalemated after Lilledahl defends. Now Lilledahl goes on the attack and finishes quickly on a double to extend his lead to 6-2. Lilledahl rides out the period holding the 6-2 lead and 1:23 of riding time going into the third.

Third period: Lilledahl goes down and seals off, gets to his feet and escapes right away. Quick takedown for Lilledahl and it looks like he's going to let Tanefeu up but he locks up a cradle instead. Pin for Lilledahl!

Team score: Penn State 6, Michigan 0

133: Kyison Garcia, Penn State dec. Nolan Wertanen, Michigan - 4-2

First period: Still no Braeden Davis for the Nittany Lions so it's Kyison Garcia vs Nolan Wertanen. Back-and-forth takedown attempts for both wrestlers but neither are able to get to an attack cleanly. A minute left in the period and Garcia hits a single leg and brings it off the mat but Wertanen gets his leg back to avoid giving up the takedown. Scoreless first period.

Second period: Garcia goes down to start the period and he gets the escape after about 20 seconds. Garcia hits a hard snap and throws Wertanen by to secure a takedown with about 15 seconds left in the second - Garcia leads 4-0 heading into the third.

Third period: Wertanen goes down in the third and escapes to make it 4-1 - Garcia holds only 14 seconds of riding time. Wertanen comes forward and gets a stall call with 20 seconds left in the match. Wertanen keeps moving forward but never gets close to a takedown - Garcia wins 4-2.

Team score: Penn State 9, Michigan 0

141: #3 Beau Bartlett, Penn State dec. #11 Sergio Lemley, Michigan - 3-2

First period: Not much but hand fighting going on in the first period. Neither wrestler takes a committed attack and we've got a double-stall call with 20 seconds left in the first! That doesn't encourage either wrestler to shoot and it's zero-zero after the first three minutes.

Second period: Lemley goes down in the second period and escapes with Bartlett holding 39 seconds of riding time. The rest of the period is very similar to the first. Lemley did take a shot but it was easily defended by Bartlett - Lemley leads 1-0 going into the third period.

Third period: Bartlett goes down and gets right to his feet. Bartlett catches Lemley's leg and converts for a reversal to lead 2-1. Bartlett's riding tough on top and builds it over a minute before Lemley escapes. Lemley comes forward in the final 30 seconds but Bartlett holds position and defends. Bartlett wins off the riding time point, 3-2

Team score: Penn State 12, Michigan 0

149: #3 Shayne Van Ness, Penn State dec. Dylan Gilcher, Michigan - 7-1

First period: Van Ness starts the period setting a very high pace but Gilcher is doing a good job of matching that pace for now. Gilcher briefly gets his hands locked around Van Ness' leg but doesn't get close to finishing. Van Ness is winning the hand fight forcing Gilcher to take an errant shot and Van Ness counters with a single leg. Van Ness almost locks up a cradle but just finishes with a go-behind at the end of the period to lead 3-0.

Second period: Van Ness begins the period on bottom and quickly escapes to lead 4-0. Van Ness shoots through Gilcher's underhook and finishes a single-leg quickly to extend his lead to 7-0. Van Ness ends the period on top with 33 seconds of riding time.

Third period: Gilcher goes down in the third and Van Ness lets him up for the escape. Van Ness' pressure is really wearing on Gilcher now - Van Ness is moving him all over the mat. Van Ness gets to another single leg but Gilcher shows off some flexibility and strong defense to avoid giving up the takedown. It's just a regular decision for Van Ness, 7-1.

Team score: Penn State 15, Michigan 0

157: #1 Tyler Kasak, Penn State dec. Zack Mattin, Michigan - 7-2

First period: No #16 Chase Saldate so it's Zack Mattin for the Wolverines. Kasak wastes no time and finishes a single leg just 23 seconds into the match. Mattin earns an escape after 16 seconds and it's 3-1. Another takedown for Kasak with a minute left in the first - he rides out Mattin and leads 6-1 with 1:20 of riding time after 3 minutes.

Second period: Neutral start in the second period and Mattin looks better in the second. It looks like Kasak's pace has slowed considerably and he doesn't take any attacks so the score stays at 6-1 going into the third period.

Third period: Mattin begins the period in the bottom position and escapes after about a minute. Mattin comes forward with about 30 seconds left and Kasak is called for stalling after backing out of bounds. It looks like Mattin's forehead is bothering him - he was notably cut in last week's match against Teemer and has it wrapped up tonight. Kasak comes forward the final thirty seconds of the match but can't get the takedown for the major and Kasak wins 7-2.

Team score: Penn State 18, Michigan 0

165: #1 Mitchell Mesenbrink, Penn State maj. dec. #14 Beau Mantanona, Michigan - 18-4

First period: Mesenbrink comes out with his typical relentless pace and works his way to a single leg at about 30 seconds into the match. Mantanona defends well for a while but Mesenbrink works his way through the position for the takedown. Mesenbrink rides for 54 seconds but Mantanona scrambles out and almost puts Mesenbrink in some danger but settles for escape. Mesenrbink continues to attack but Mantanona's leg defense keeps him from scoring at the end of the period - Mesenbrink leads 3-0 after a wild 3 minutes.

Second period: Mesenbrink escapes quickly and is right in on Mantanona's leg but it's blown dead for potential dangerous. Mesenrbink continues to attack and earns a stall call against Mantanona. Mesenbrink uses an arm drag to set up his single leg this time and finishes quickly to take a 7-1 lead. Mesenbrink finishes the period on top with 2 minutes of riding time.

Third period: Mantanona goes down to start the third period but Mesenbrink lets him up immediately for the escape. Mesenbrink's pace is beginning to wear on Mantanona now and Mesenbrink finishes another takedown quickly. Another escape for Mantanona but he's hit with a stall call and Mesenbrink earns another takedown. Mesenbrink is really pushing hard for the tech fall - he lets Mantanona up and earns another escape but finishes just 1 point shy of a tech - Mesenbrink wins 18-4.

Team score: Penn State 22, Michigan 0

174: #2 Levi Haines, Penn State FALL #32 Joseph Walker, Michigan

First period: Haines fires off a single leg right away - he has to work for the takedown but sticks with it and finishes to take a 3-0 lead. Haines is really committing to the ride and he gets a half deep on the right side. Haines gets Walker over with about 40 seconds left and finishes for the first-period pin!

Team score: Penn State 28, Michigan 0

184: #1 Carter Starocci, Penn State TF #30 Jaden Bullock, Michigan - 19-4

First period: Starocci earns a takedown early after getting to his single leg cleanly and finishing without much trouble. Starocci rides hard for 1:38 before letting Bullock up for the escape. Starocci continues to move forward and Bullock is hit for stalling. Starocci fires off another attack and finishes right at the end of the period to take a 6-1 lead into the second period.

Second period: Starocci goes down in second, escapes easily, and then earns another takedown. Starocci is playing catch-and-release now - he lets Bullock up and then takes him down again. After another escape for Bullock, Starocci leads 13-3 going into the third period.

Third period: Bullock starts the period down and Starocci is committing to a ride on top. Starocci rides hard for over a minute before earning a point for a stall call. Starocci lets up Bullock with about 30 seconds left and he'll need a takedown for the tech. Starocci gets to the single leg and finishes for the takedown and tech with just 10 seconds left.

Team score: Penn State 33, Michigan 0

197: #4 Josh Barr, Penn State dec. #2 Jacob Cardenas, Michigan - 3-2 (TB-1)

First period: Feature match of the night! Barr is trying to set a heavy pace early and is coming forward with his handfight. Cardenas is doing a good job of keeping space and doesn't look too overwhelmed by Barr's handfight. Cardenas fires off a double from space but Barr defends easily. Now it's Barr in on a single leg but Cardenas scrambles through and it's scoreless after the first period.

Second period: Barr goes down in the second period and escapes after just 13 seconds. The pace has slowed considerably - both Barr and Cardenas take a few attacks but neither get close to scoring. Barr leads 1-0 at the end of the second period.

Third period: Cardenas goes down in the third period and Barr is committing to the ride. Barr rides for about 30 seconds but Cardenas his a sitout to a switch and earns the escape. It's 1-1 with 90 seconds left and riding time is not a factor. Nice little shot-reshot exchange but neither get to a leg. Cardenas is working from a knee - you can tell the Nittany Lion fans want a stall but none is given. It's 1-1 after seven minutes and we'll go to overtime!

Overtime: Cardenas lunges forward from his knees a few times - he gets to Barr's leg but is extended so it's stalemated. Now Cardenas rushes forward with an ankle pick attempt but Barr gathers himself to defend and avoids giving up the takedown. Still 1-1 after the two-minute sudden victory time so we'll go to tiebreakers.

1st rideout: Cardenas goes down, Barr rides the ankle for 3 seconds before Cardenas sits and escapes. Cardenas leads with Barr holding only has 8 seconds of riding time.

2nd rideout: Barr goes down and gets to his feet right away but Cardenas returns him and erases riding time. Cardenas is in control now riding tough on top. Barr gets to his feet again and now catches the leg and earns the reversal with just 6 seconds left! Barr wins 3-2.

Team score: Penn State 36, Michigan 0

285: #2 Greg Kerkvliet, Penn State dec. #7 Josh Heindselman, Michigan - 6-0

First period: Good handfighting from both big men to start the period. Kerkvliet powers through Heindselman's defense and finishes for the takedown. Kerkvliet rides out the period to hold a 3-0 lead and 45 seconds of riding time at the end of the first period.

Second period: Kerkvliet starts down and hits the big man roll for an immediate reversal and has Heindselman caught on his back. Heindselman rolls over to his belly and somehow avoids giving up nearfall points. Now the Nittany Lion coaching staff is challenging the call and wants points off of that exchange. Quick review and the call on the mat stands. Kerkvliet is committing to the ride and has Heindselman flattened out on his belly. Kerkvliet doesn't get close to a turn but he rides out the period to hold a 5-0 lead and 2:27 of riding time going into the third period.

Third period: Heindselman chooses neutral in the third period. There's not much urgency from either wrestler - a few fakes and attacks but not much happens in the final 2 minutes. Kerkvliet takes the 6-0 win and that's it for the Nittany Lions domination.

Team score: Penn State 39, Michigan 0
