All-American Cam Amine Announces Transfer To Oklahoma State

Cameron Amine took to social media Thursday to announce his commitment to transfer to Oklahoma State and wrestle under new head coach David Taylor. Amine spent the last 4 seasons starting for the University of Michigan at 165 pounds, earning All-American honors three times - 7th in 2021 and 4th in 2022 and 2023.

Where Does Amine Fit In Oklahoma State's Lineup?

Amine is currently ranked #6 at 165 pounds and is most likely to slot into the Cowboys' starting lineup there. However, Caleb Fish also transferred to Oklahoma State this off-season (from Michigan State), and is currently ranked #11 at 165 pounds. Fish does have a redshirt available, but there's a chance we could see Amine or Fish drop to 157 pounds to get both in the lineup next year.

Beyond Fish and Amine transferring in from other schools, Oklahoma State also received transfer commitments from Dean Hamiti (Wisconsin) and Wyatt Hendrickson. Oklahoma State finished 10th at last year's NCAA tournament but the addition of these top-tier transfers, along with their existing roster, make the Cowboys a legitimate trophy contender at the 2025 NCAA Tournament.

Oklahoma State's Projected 2024-25 Lineup:

125: #9 Troy Spratley

133: Cael Hughes

141: #11 Tagen Jamison

149: #18 Jordan Williams/Carter Young

157: #12 Teague Travis/Cam Amine/Caleb Fish

165: #6 Cam Amine/#11 Caleb Fish

174: #5 Dean Hamiti

184: #2 Dustin Plott

197: #21 Luke Surber/Christian Carroll
