The California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) has been one of the nation's most successful Division II intercollegiate athletic conferences since its establishment in December 1938. 

The 12-member league includes programs across the west coast such as Cal Poly Humboldt, Cal Poly Pomona, Cal State Dominguez Hills, Cal State East Bay, Cal State LA, Cal State Monterey Bay, Cal State San Bernardino, Cal State San Marcos, Chico State, San Francisco State, Sonoma State, and Stanislaus State.

What Is The CCAA?

The California Collegiate Athletic Association, also known as CCAA, is an athletic association of 12 selective academic institutions that compete at the NCAA Division II level.

CCAA members have won 156 NCAA Championships (103 men, 53 women) all time, the most of any Division II conference. 

Since 2000, CCAA institutions have earned 24 national championships in 10 sports. During that span, eight members have earned at least one title highlighted by back-to-back championships for UC San Diego women's soccer (2000, '01) and Cal Poly Pomona women's basketball (2001, '02). 

In 2011, the Cal State Monterey Bay men's golf team finished at the top of the national leaderboard while UC San Diego softball also claimed the NCAA crown, marking a memorable May. Cal State San Bernardino volleyball ran the table in 2019 and hoisted the hardware with an undefeated season. 

Cal State LA has claimed the two most recent national championships with men's soccer capturing the title in 2021 and the volleyball team in 2023.

Who Won The 2023 CCAA Baseball Championship Title?

Cal State Monterey Bay overcame an eight-run deficit to bring the 2023 CCAA Baseball Tournament trophy to Seaside for the first time in program history. 

CSUMB trailed 8-0 after three innings, but the Otters went to Ryan Sleeman out of the pen, and he held the line to allow the Otters to come back and take the winner-take-all game, 13-9.
