The beast is back. 

One of high school wrestling’s most famous tournaments returns this week as the 2023 Beast of the East begins on Dec. 16 in Newark, Delaware.

The 31st Beast of the East features some of the top high school wrestlers competing on the University of Delaware campus. More than 160 boys teams and nearly 50 women’s teams are expected to compete.

The Beast of the East wrestling tournament is at Bob Carpenter Center on the campus of the University of Delaware in Newark, Delaware.
