125: #21 Drake Ayala (Iowa) dec. #10 Kysen Terukina (Iowa State), 7-2

Second period: Terukina chooses the down position and escapes in three seconds for a 1-0 lead. Ayala hits a head shuck and is in on the leg and tries to pull Terukina in and eventually gets the three-point takedown for a 3-1 lead with 18 seconds left. A three-point takedown by Carr makes it 7-2 with 1:01 remaining. An escape by Caliendo at the edge with 41 seconds remaining makes it 7-3 Carr. Carr picks up another takedown a few seconds later for a 10-3 lead with 21 seconds left. Carr rides out the period and maintains his 10-3 lead.

Second period: Gaitain chooses the down position and escapes immediately to cut the lead to 9-3. Kennedy comes out the back door following a wild scramble for a 12-4 lead after an escape by Gaitan. 

Third period: Kennedy chooses neutral with a 12-4 lead. Gaitan strikes with a takedown but Kennedy escapes and still leads 13-7. Kennedy is in on a shot but Gaitan counters and it's 14-10. Gaitan scores a takedown at the end of the period and tries to turn. Kennedy hung on for a 14-13 win.
