Super 32 is one of the nation's premier high school proving grounds, and every year, a number of wrestlers announce themselves as serious contenders. Here are seven wrestlers who had outstanding Super 32 performances.

165 lbs - Leandro Araujo, 1st Place

Four-time North Dakota state champ Leandro Araujo entered Super 32 without a top-20 ranking. That will change. Araujo took out #3 Ethan Birden, #11 Latrell Schafer, and #9 Dominic Bambinelli en route to a first-place finish at 165 lbs.

138 lbs - Maddox Shaw, 1st Place

Thomas Jefferson's Maddox Shaw has been on the national radar since he beat Vincent Robinson at Powerade in 2021, but he established himself as a #1 contender at Super 32 this year.

#9 Shaw racked up ranked victories against #12 (145) Daishun Powe, #5 Paul Kelly, #12 Alex Braun, and #4 Landon Robideau en route to his Super 32 title. That established him as a serious contender for the #1 spot in the country.

144 lbs - Melvin Miller, 1st Place

Even before this tournament started, Fargo champ Melvin Miller was ranked #6 in the country, but he hadn't established himself at a tournament as deep as Super 32.

Miller strung together victories over Logan Rozynski, #4 Jaxon Joy, Brogan Tucker, and #7 Cam Catrabone and proved that he's going to be on the high school radar for years to come.

106 lbs - Rocco Hayes, 2nd Place

Rocco Hayes won a Fargo title at 100 lbs this summer but missed many of the country's top-20 wrestlers. He firmly cemented himself among that group this weekend with victories over #7 Rocco Cassioppi and #4 Grey Burnet and a second place finish.

132 lbs - Sergio Vega, 2nd Place

Fargo 4th place finisher Sergio Vega entered Super 32 as a well-established national-level wrestler, but he left with a victory over #1 Ben Davino, a guy who hasn't lost a wrestling match against a high school wrestler in over a year. Vega proved he's as dangerous as they come.

157 lbs - Joseph Antonio, 2nd Place

St. John Bosco's #17 Joseph Antonio took out #9 Cory Thomas and #5 Conner Harer in impressive fashion. The Army West Point commit proved he's prepared to compete against anyone in the country.
