Last Week In Recruiting: May 8-14

With May 7th being the last official date to get into the transfer portal, the number of names entering the portal dropped this week. The week's biggest news came when Cody Chittum announced he would be leaving Iowa for Iowa State. Chittum didn't have to enter the transfer portal; he was grey-shirting and never officially signed with Iowa. So, I'll let you, the reader, decide if that is a transfer or a commitment flip. It wasn't all negative news for the Hawkeyes, however. They picked up 2023 NCAA 149 lb qualifier Victor Voinvoich who is transferring from Oklahoma State. He has three years of eligibility left.

Headlined by #4 Koy Hopke committing to Minnesota, a total of three top 100 recruits came off the board last week. Hopke will be looking to continue Minnesota's tradition of heavyweight success. It isn't taking long for Rob Koll to be making his presence known at Stanford. Latest commit Cole Han-Lindemyer makes it a total of 7 top-50 recruits from the class of 2024 already signed. And #57 on the 2024 Big Board, Gage Wright will be headed to Hokieland.
