The University of Oklahoma announced that Lou Rosselli has resigned as the head coach of the wrestling program after 7 years. Under Rosselli's leadership, the Sooners saw 48 wrestlers qualify for the NCAA tournament with four wrestlers earning All-American honors. Read Lou Rosselli's official statement below:

"Today I'm stepping down as the head wrestling coach here at OU," said Rosselli. "I'm grateful for the opportunity I had from Joe C. to lead this program. While I had hoped to have accomplished more, I'm optimistic about the future of Oklahoma wrestling. I'm thankful to my current and former student-athletes, our coaching staff, and our fans for their support throughout the years."

Oklahoma had its best postseason under Rosselli in 2021 when the Sooners won their first Big 12 title in 19 years and finished 24th at the NCAA Championships. Oklahoma went 9-8 in duals this past season and finished tied for 40th at the national tournament with six points.
