Live On Flo This Week: Dec. 16-18 Reno TOC | Dec. 16 Cornell at OK State | Dec. 16-17 KC Stampede | Dec. 16-18 GR/WFS US Open | Dec. 17-18 Beast Of The East | Dec. 18 Virginia Tech at WVU.

Two of the most established and successful programs in the country will collide LIVE on FloWrestling this Friday. As you can expect, Cornell and Oklahoma State will give us a number of ranked-versus-ranked and high-profile matches.

A year ago, Nolan Boyd stunned us all when he took out top-ranked Gabe Dean. Could we see someone else step up and pull off an upset in Stillwater, Oklahoma?

Here are my favorite matches of the dual.

Date: Friday, Dec. 16 | Time: 7 PM CT | Where: Stillwater, OK
Broadcast Info: WATCH LIVE HERE

133: #14 Mark Grey (Cornell) vs. #6 Kaid Brock (OSU)

This matchup pits two very different wrestlers against one another. Grey has a traditional style -- he hand fights well, gets to singles, and is solid on the mat.  Kaid Brock, meanwhile, is a dynamo risk taker -- he'll go upper body, blast double, elbow control attack, and more.

I suspect Grey won't want to wrestle this match from space. Though he's particularly good at faking ties and attacking legs, I worry about his finishing against someone such as Brock who has a great whizzer/counters. So while he may get in, the real question is can he plant Brock? His double leg has some pop behind it. I think this or a drag, go-behind off an errant low attack by Brock are his best paths to points. Cornell will have a strong game plan for Mark. Execution, especially with Brock, is the hard part.

Brock does work against Dom Forys:

165: #20 Brandon Womack (Cornell) vs. #6 Chandler Rogers (OSU)

I've long been a fan of Chandler Rogers, so with following him closely, I realize he is not always the same guy match to match. When I look at this bout, I see an athletic mismatch in favor of Rogers. Womack has revealed himself to be quite solid for the Big Red.

What intrigues me about this match in particular is Womack's top ability. He's tough there and does a great job of getting wrists and tilting. I can't see a scenario Womack can win without a turn. Even if he got a counter TD, I think that alone won't be enough against Rogers who can put up six points in a hurry.

174: #6 Brian Realbuto (Cornell) vs. #4 Kyle Crutchmer (OSU)

How can you not love this match? At one point last year, these were the No. 1 and No. 2 guys in the country. They hit at the Scuffle, with Crutchmer coming away with the win to take fifth (crazy, I know). Crutchmer has been as good as ever this year, but this will be his toughest test of the year by far. Realbuto hit some great competition at Vegas, where he fell to Zahid Valencia in a nip-and-tuck final.

Both guys have matches where they look like potential NCAA champions, and then they'll have a lapse in an unexpected bout. Here's hoping both are clicking on all cylinders Friday. If so, they'll steal the show.

184: #1 Gabe Dean (Cornell) vs. #5 Nolan Boyd (OSU)

As excited as I want to be about this match, watching Gabe Dean steamroll the first month of the year gives me real questions about indulging a potential upset occurring again. Boyd won 14-9 in the dual last February. One month later, Dean won by a dominant 10-4 score at NCAAs. What makes Boyd so interesting is that like Dean, he has improved year over year. Boyd hasn't faced elite competition like Dean has, so it's tough to say if Boyd will once again jump levels. Even if he has jumped levels, it is unlikely he will have jumped enough to take out Dean again.

Dean and Boyd's NCAA bout:

Cornell may be outmatched against the No. 1 team in the country, but its consistent, quality product will put the Big Red in a lot of matches they appear to be major underdogs. For example, Ben Honis has been quietly solid at 197, and Jeramy Sweany is a returning NCAA qualifier at heavyweight. Though they'll face tough opponents in Weigel and Schafer, upsets there can't be ruled out.

Projected Lineups:
125: Noah Baughman (Cornell) vs. #11 Nick Piccinnini (OSU)
133: #14 Mark Grey (Cornell) vs. #6 Kaid Brock (OSU)
141: Will Koll (Cornell) vs. #1 Dean Heil (OSU
149: Joey Galasso (Cornell) vs. #3 Anthony Collica (OSU)
157: Taylor Simaz (Cornell) vs. #3 Joseph Smith (OSU)
165: #20 Brandon Womack (Cornell) vs. #6 Chandler Rogers (OSU)
174: #6 Brian Realbuto (Cornell) vs. #4 Kyle Crutchmer (OSU)
184: #1 Gabe Dean (Cornell) vs. #5 Nolan Boyd (OSU)
197: Ben Honis (Cornell) vs. #4 Preston Weigel (OSU)
285: Jeramy Sweany (Cornell) vs. #13 Austin Schafer (OSU)
