On the first day of the Junior World Championships, Team USA left with two bronze medals from Taylor LaMont (66kg) and Tracy Hancock (96kg), respectively.
We also had a few bright spots from Randon Miranda (50kg) and Kamal Bey (74kg), who were one win away from wrestling for a medal. Here are all of the matches from our four Greco-Roman competitors on the first day.
Day two of Greco didn't turn out so good for Team USA's men; they weren't able to pick up any more medals. But when the women took over the mats, Kayla Miracle (59kg) picked up her second junior world bronze medal. Alexis Porter (67kg) followed suit with a bronze medal win of her own.
On the second day of the women's tournament Maya Nelson was the lone medalist as she defeated Russian Mariia Kuznetcova, 9-4 to claim the bronze medal.
