It's been a busy week for Lou Rosselli.  On Sunday, August 21st he helped coach Kyle Snyder to an Olympic title at 97kg.  Now the longtime mastermind behind the Ohio RTC will be backing for Norman. Multiple sources have informed FloWrestling that wrestlers at Ohio State were told today that  Coach Rosselli will not be returning to the program.  It corroborates sources that tell us that Rosselli will be named Oklahoma's next Head Coach.

Rosselli, an alum of Edinboro University, has been on staff at Ohio State since 2006.  In that time Rosselli has emerged as one of the best technicians and developers of talent in the country.  This culminated in 2015 with a team title for Ohio State and in 2016 when Snyder won the Olympics.

During his time at the Ohio RTC he has helped put Tervel Dlagnev, Angel Escobedo, Keith Gavin, Reece Humphrey, Shawn Bunch, JD Bergman and Kyle Snyder.  He was also instrumental in coaching 4-time NCAA Champion Logan Stieber.

Logan Stieber sent the following tweet after Kyle Snyder won Olympic Gold.

Rosselli replaces Mark Cody in Norman, who stepped down August 11th from the post he held for 5 years.  Rosselli's start will not be without it's challenges with school getting underway and the team's lone All-American Ryan Millhof, wanting to transfer out.  Compared with the talent still remaining in Columbus, Rosselli will be coaching a much less experienced and credentialed group of athletes.  Additionally, he'll need to build a coaching staff in short time.  Much of the former Oklahoma coaching regime is already gone with Andrew Howe, Cody Brewer and Kendric Maple having already taken jobs at other schools.

Rosselli was a two-time All American for Edinboro and was on the 1996 Olympic team as well.  He has been on the short list for high profile head coaching jobs for some time.  His results and reputation has made him extremely coveted.  His ability to develop athletes to have success at both the NCAA and International level is unquestioned.  The presence of Coach Rosselli at OU will unquestionably garner looks from the nation's elite recruits.

Sources indicate Coach Rosselli will be pursuing longtime Virginia Tech Assistant Tony Robie.  Like Rosselli, he is an alum of Edinboro University.
