Brackets have been released for the first day of wrestling at the Ziolkowski Memorial in Poland. For a more in-depth preview, check here.
Live streams of all three mats can be viewed here. Team USA will be represented today by Joey McKenna, Kyven Gadson and Patrick Martinez.

McKenna has a great shot at making the finals. His first round opponent, Mateusz Nejman (POL), went 0-1 last year at the U23 European championships. In the semifinals, McKenna will likely see Katal Yeerlanbieke (CHN), who qualified his country for the Olympics earlier this year.

Gadson has a very tough draw—he’ll start off with two-time world silver medalist Reineris Salas Perez (CUB), though he received both medals down a weight. Should Gadson win, he’ll face Turkey’s Olympic qualifier, Ibrahim Bolukbasi, who is ranked 11th in the world.

To make the finals, Gadson will certainly have to go through one more ranked opponent. In the opposite quarter, you have 10th-ranked Radoslaw Baran (POL), the winner of the European qualifier. He’s matching up with past world bronze Albert Saritov (ROU), and the winner of that match could see Jose Daniel Diaz Robertti (VEN), the Pan-Ams champ who is currently ranked 18th in the world.

Martinez will get good experience his first two matches. Starting in the round of 16, he’ll see past university bronze medalist Arkadiusz Kulynycz (POL), who took silver at the Zagreb Grand Prix in January at 75kg. In the quarterfinals, Martinez could face Pavel Paminchuk (BLR), the world’s 13th-ranked wrestler at 80kg and the Hungarian Grand Prix champ.
