FloWrestler of the Week: Brian Courtney, PA
It all started at the Pennsylvania state tournament -- that's when Brian Courtney put everyone on notice that he was, in fact, a beast..

Courtney claimed three straight wins over a trio of former state champions to become one himself. Then, he set his sights on a FloNational title, and he didn’t just claim it -- he seized it with five straight bonus-point wins. Leading up to that, he made a huge statement with his wins in the semifinals and finals.

In the semis, he defeated returning FloNationals champion Paul Konrath by a 17-4 major decision, then followed up with a 14-6 major over three-time California state champion, No. 2 Justin Mejia. The string of wins he put together proves he is an ironman.

Courtney’s performance over the last few weeks has been incredible, and his dominance at the FloNational tournament makes him our FloWrestler of the Week, presented by Cliff Keen.

Other FloWrestler of the Week Nominees:

Mitch McKee, MN: Wrestled the perfect match at the Pittsburgh Wrestling Classic to get the fall over No. 3 Micky Phillippi and stop Team Pennsylvania's winning streak.

Dakota Geer, PA: Won his second straight FloNational title. After giving up the initial takedown, Geer scored eight straight points and racked up more than a minute of riding time to get the 9-2 win.

Drew Hughes, IN: Replaced the injured Thomas Bullard for Team USA at the Pittsburgh Wrestling Classic. After getting a fast fall for Team Indiana in the undercard dual, Hughes shut out No. 4 Jake Wentzel, 6-0, to put Team USA in the lead.
