Rocky Elam took a 5-4 loss to Luke Surber a couple of weeks ago but remains the #1 ranked 197-pounder in the Big 12 after picking up a controlling 4-0 win over Yonger Bastida last week. Surber moved up to #4 but is prevented from moving up any higher due to his losses to both Bastida and Tanner Sloan. Sloan has been excellent this season as he is 19-1 with his only loss coming at CKLV to Andy Smith. This weight class, much like the rest of the NCAA field at 197 pounds, will be awesome to watch over conference weekend.
