The Arizona State Wrestling team begins the season on Nov. 11 at the Journeyman's Wranglemania against a pair of ranked teams as the No. 7-ranked Sun Devils return four All-Americans this season.

After the Maroon and Gold Scrimmage on Nov. 3, Arizona State will head east to take on No. 15 North Carolina and the No. 21 Lock Haven at Wranglemania on Nov. 12.

Wranglemania and it’s sibling event, the Journeyman Classic on Nov. 13, are both streaming live on FloWrestling and the FloSports app.

Arizona State has a monster of a schedule after that, including a trip to Las Vegas for the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational on Dec. 1-2. The Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational is one of the biggest college wrestling tournaments of the season and is also streaming on FloWrestling and FloSports.

Non-conference dual meets against Iowa State, Pittsburgh, Oklahoma State and Nebraska are mixed into their normal Pac-12 slate.

Helping the Sun Devils get through them will be a talented returning roster. Kyle Parco (No.3 at 149 pounds), Richard Figueroa (No.3 at 125), Jacori Teemer (No.4 at 157) and Colhton Schultz (No.5 at 285) are all ranked in the top five of FloWrestling’s rankings in their weight class.

Here’s a look at the Arizona State Wrestling schedule.

When Is The 2024 PAC 12 Wrestling Tournament?

In what could possibly be the final time this event is held, the Pac-12 Championships are March 10 in Corvallis, Oregon on the campus of Oregon State inside Gill Coliseum.

In 2023 Oregon State won its 24th Pac-12 Wrestling Championship. The win snapped a three straight championship run by Arizona State. In total, the Sun Devils have won five Pac-12 titles since 2017.

With college conference realignment disrupting the NCAA, Arizona State (Big 12) and Stanford (ACC) are leaving the Pac-12 in 2024. The Pac-12 is also losing non-wrestling members California (ACC), UCLA (Big Ten), USC (Big Ten), Oregon (Big Ten), Washington (Big Ten), Utah (Big 12), Arizona (Big 12) and Colorado (Big 12).

Only Washington State and Oregon State currently remain committed to the Pac-12 beyond this season. The Pac-12 has not added any teams as of Oct. 2023.

Which Wrestling Teams Are In the Pac-12?

The Pac-12 for wrestling doesn’t have 12 teams. It has six. Here are the teams:

  • Arizona State
  • Cal Poly
  • CSU Bakersfield
  • Little Rock
  • Oregon State
  • Stanford

Is Arizona State Wrestling leaving the Pac-12 for the Big 12?

College wrestling conferences don't always look like the rest of the NCAA sports. Half of the current Pac-12 wrestling programs are not full members. But ASU is set to join the Big 12 in 2024, a massively successful wrestling conference in its own right.

Arizona State wrestling coach Zeke Jones seemed to confirm to FloWrestling in August of 2023 that his program will indeed become Big 12 wrestling members, saying the move was a "breath of fresh air."

When is the 2024 NCAA Wrestling Tournament?

The NCAA Wrestling Championships are March 21- 23 at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Mo.

ASU Wrestling Features Athletes From The FloWrestling Series 'The Eloy Boys'

Sophomore Diego Chavez and Emilio Ysaguirre hail from Eloy, Arizona, home of Valiant Prep, where all but two students at the school are wrestlers. The program was featured in 2022 FloWrestling series "The Eloy Boys."

An hour south of Phoenix is the town of Eloy. A small community of watermelon farmers, it's a town that is not very big and does not have a whole lot to offer. But there is a group of 14 boys who train together, go to school together, eat together, hang out together and basically spend all of their time together. The way they train is no joke and the results they have on the mat are equally as impressive.
