No. 6 Chris Foca Chooses Iowa State
No. 6 Chris Foca kicks off the 2019 class in a big way for the Iowa State Cyclones.

Just days after picking up a blue chip senior in David Carr, Iowa State has landed a huge verbal commitment from a top flight junior. Chris Foca out of Bergen Catholic in New Jersey made the Cyclones his college selection. [instagram url="https://www.instagram.com/p/BahvFV2nY5v/" hide_caption="0"] Foca is up to No. 6 in the 170lb rankings after winning the Journeymen Fall Classic at the beginning of this month. This past year, he was third in the state at 160.
One of the best juniors in the country, he is currently 13th on the Class of 2019 Big Board. Depending upon if 2018 commit Joel Shapiro can get up to 197 will determine if Foca fits in better at 174 or 184.
Foca's Journeymen win over Erich Byelick
The next event Foca will get a chance to prove himself at is Super 32, where he placed fifth last year. He also won Beast of the East as a 132lb freshman back in December of 2015, and was runner-up in Akon at 69kg for the Cadet Greco world team.
