Agony in Ames will feature a 182 pound match between No. 6 AJ Ferrari and No. 17 Devin Winston
Another matchup of highly ranked upperweights has been released for Agony in Ames. One of this year's marquee bouts will feature Fargo champs in Devin Winston of Missouri and AJ Ferrari of Texas.
The two will wrestle at 182 pounds, where Devin Winston is currently ranked 17th in the country. Winston, a junior at Park Hill, was 43-1 last year as he won a class 4 state title at 170. He would go on to have a 7-1 record at Cadet duals and win the 182lb pound Cadet bracket in Fargo this summer. Watch his finals win below.
Coming up in weight will be AJ Ferrari, who was No. 6 in the latest rankings at 170. Entering his sophomore year at Allen high school outside Dallas, Ferrari was the 6A state champ last year at 160lbs wit a 41-1 record. He took most of the summer off recovering from surgery before winning the 170 bracket in Fargo, including a win over No. 7 Patrick Kennedy in the quarterfinals, which you can watch below.
