Agony In Ames Matchup: Andrew Chambal vs Cullan Schriever
Andrew Chambal will battle No. 10 Cullan Schriever at the second Agony in Ames.
Entering its second year, Agony in Ames is putting together a star-studded lineup. The first matchup has been locked in for October 21 in Ames, Iowa, and it will be a battle of Fargo finalists.
Andrew Chambal of Michigan will take on Cullan Schriever of Iowa at 106 pounds. Schriever wrestled in this event last year and is currently ranked No. 10 in the country.
Chambal was 39-7 this past season for Michigan power Davison High School and placed third at the state tournament. He was on last year's cadet world team for Greco and has made three Fargo finals before entering his sophomore year.
Schriever entered high school having won the 88lb crown in cadet freestyle at Fargo a year ago. The No. 28 prospect on the Class of 2020 big board was 29-0 en route to a state title at 106 for Mason City this past season.
As you can see in the video above, the last time these two met Schriever came out on top 11-2 in the 2016 Flo Tulsa Nationals semifinals. We will be announcing more matchups and ticket sales for Agony in Ames as they become available.
