Fargo champ Patrick McKee will be looking to back up his talking as he takes on top-ranked Cadet world team member Robert Howard at Who's #1 on October 8 in Bethlehem, PA.
Howard emerged as the top dog of the 120-pound weight class after a phenomenal showing in Akron to make his first world team. McKee had a pretty similar outing in Fargo that was capped off with a fall over Joey Melendez, who was ranked ahead of him at the time. After that is when the Twitter fingers took over.
Howard finished his freshman year as New Jersey state runner-up, and McKee climbed atop of the podium at the state tournament in Minnesota.
While McKee, a Minnesota recruit, has a ton of experience facing high-level competition, Howard has proved that he thrives in big moments against big competition.
At the Cadet World Team Trials, he collected the match-winning takedown on Brody Teske in the final seconds of their bout. If this matchup is as heated as McKee and Howard's Twitter feud, then it can steal the show on October 8 when the two meet in The Snakepit.
