Rumors have been flying about the vacant head coaching position at the University of Pittsburgh. It is being reported by GoErie.com that Tim Flynn will be staying at Edinboro and will not be taking the Pitt job.

There was some speculation that Flynn could be interested in taking a job at Power 5 conference, but will remain with the Fighting Scots. Flynn just finished up his 20th year at Edinboro.

Lehigh coach Pat Santoro had also been rumored for the job, but it appears he too will be staying at his current spot. Matt Kocher and Drew Headlee assumed the role of acting co-head coaches after the dismissal of former Panthers head coach Jason Peters on January 19th. Pitt just hired a new athletic director in Heather Lyke, so her national search for a new head coach continues.
