Mason Parris Crushes The Competition At 2017 FloNationals
Indiana junior Mason Parris of Lawrenceburg completely dominated the field at 2017 FloNationals
FloNationals tends to open our eyes to a handful of kids every year, and there was one in particular everyone was buzzing about in the booths upstairs at the Kovalchik Center: Mason Parris.
A three-sport athlete out of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, Parris was one of the best kept secrets in the wrestling community. His father told us the football team went to the state finals for the first time in 30 years, and he is one of the best hurdlers and shot putters in the state.
Below are all four of his matches from this weekend. He only gets more dominant as the competition gets tougher, finishing off with a pin over undefeated PA state champ and Super 32 champ Brian Kennerly. He's still a junior, and will have quite a tough decision to make between football and wrestling in college.
Round of 16: Major 21-8 Joey Cannon
Quarterfinals: Tech 21-4 Mansur Abdul-Malik
Semifinals: Pin Billy Korber 0:58
Finals: Pin Brian Kennerly 2:33
