Jordan Burroughs Fails To Medal At 2016 Olympic Games
The unthinkable happened.  Jordan Burroughs leaves the Olympics empty handed.  It started with his loss to Geduev in the quarters.  That was reasonable considering how close the two wrestled last year at the 2015 World Championships.

Losing to Bekzod Aburakhmanov, however, seemed completely impossible.  Jordan downed Bekzod 9-3 just over a month ago in Germany.  Today, Bekzod downed him 11-1.  The former Clarion All American executed multiple single leg takedowns and finished with little issue.

Burroughs failed to convert one double leg takedown the entire tournament.  All 3 of his matches he worked for it, but was rarely even open.  Also noticeably absent were JB's signature re-attacks.  The reasoning for Jordan's un-Jordanlike performance will be speculated forever.  All we know for sure is Jordan won't bring home a medal for the first time in his Senior level career.
