65 kg - Ismail Musukaev

Zain Retherford comes into the rankings at 65kg ranked #4 after winning the Olympic Trials. Retherford won a 70 kg world championship last year and was ranked #1 at 70 kg before changing weight classes for the Olympics. 

Similar to Retherford, Akmataliev was ranked #6 at 70 kg after winning a bronze medal at the 2023 World Championships. Akmataliev comes in at #5 for his win over #6 Tulga Tumur-Ochir at the Asian Olympic Games Qualifier.
