2022-23 Pac-12 Conference Rankings

184 pounds

Trey Munoz had a great year for Oregon State, where he picked up a win by fall over Bernie Truax and won the Pac-12 title at 184 pounds. Munoz entered the NCAA Championships as the #6 seed before falling to Trent Hidlay in the quarterfinals and fell short of All-American status by falling to Marcus Coleman in the round of 12. Munoz will begin the season as the #6-ranked guy in the country at 184 pounds and will be looking to get on the podium for the first time in his career. Adam Kemp wrestled an abbreviated schedule last season for Cal Poly down at 174 pounds, where he finished 1-2 at the NCAA tournament. Kemp will be making the move up to 184 pounds this season and will be in the mix at the Pac-12 Championships. Anthony Montalvo was an NCAA qualifier for Oklahoma State in 2020 but has only wrestled three matches since the 2020 season as he was the backup for Dustin Plott in 2021 and missed last season due to injury. Montalvo made the move to Arizona State in the offseason and could be a threat to win the Pac-12 title at 184 pounds.
