Tyler Eischens had mixed results throughout the season last year before winning the Pac-12 title. At the national tournament, Eischens came out on top in a shootout with #7 Ethan Smith in the opening round but then fell in his next two bouts. Triston Wills didn’t reach the NCAA tournament last season but picked up wins over both Albert Urias and Aaron Olmos at the Pac-12 tournament. Cael Valencia redshirted last year for Arizona State, where he finished the year with a 12-4 record with a win over Eischens but some of his losses knocked him down in the rankings here. Valencia could end up being a big upgrade and possibly even an All-American threat for ASU at 174 pounds after a full year of college wrestling under his belt.
