After finishing as an All-American at 184 pounds in 2021, Lou DePrez won the EIWA title at 197 pounds last season and just fell short of placing in the top eight at the NCAA Championships, losing two tight matches to Max Dean and Greg Bulsak. Michael Beard was an All-American at 197 pounds for Penn State in 2021, but was behind Max Dean last season before making the move to Lehigh in the offseason. These two will be in the hunt for All-American status once again and should be in the mix with any of the top guys in the country at this weight class. Luke Stout was an NCAA qualifier and solid for Princeton as a freshman last season.
