86 - Hassan Yazdani

As the defending 2021 86kg world champion, Hassan Yazdani is sitting as the #1 ranked wrestler in this field. However, because David Taylor won the Olympics, he currently has more seeding points than Yazdani and is set to be the #1 seed in Serbia. Regardless of who is the top seed, Taylor and Yazdani are huge favorites to meet in the finals in what would be their fifth head-to-head meeting in the last 5 years. 

After Taylor and Yazdani, the field is fairly wide open for the remaining bronze medals. Myles Amine, returning Tokyo bronze medalist, looks to be the favorite for one of those bronze after his gold medal performance at the 2022 European Championships. Along with that performance, Amine currently holds the #3 seed ensuring he will be on the opposite side of the bracket as Taylor.
