This weight, led by the nation’s #4 and two-time returning state champ Brian Soldano, is quietly becoming one of the state’s deepest weights. Need some proof? How about this?

The #10 ranked guy, Michael Gregg, is a Beast of the East placer. Nick Olivieri, at #8 has placed at both Powerade and Beast of the East. Skove beat him. Freshman Vincent Lavalle, at #7, was in the Beast semis. There’s a total of five returning state placewinners and two state champs. 

Digiovacchino of Delsea enters at #9 by taking out the aforementioned Gregg in the Sam Cali quarters.
